Hey Scorpionic_Web!I've been watching skins UK!OMG it's good. Now I know why people say the US version sucks. But it's cause in the British show they can show things, that can not be put on the air in the US. No nudity, and the eff bombs (they get bleeped here.) I had kind of a culture shock, that in UK Highschool is College, and they can go to the bar and drink. Gosh every country has a higher drinking age than US! (Is it cause we are allready obnoxius and outspoken with out alchohol? That's the only reason I can think of, of why they would keep it so high.) I still like the US version though. I like Tony in the US better. He just so charming, energetic, but also an evil vindictive douchebog. That it's hillarius. Such a miniacle master mind. BUT I like Sid way better in the UK version. He is easyer on the eyes. AND his acting is just so effing good! But the buzz on the web is that the US version has been cancalled. Not enough ratings...and of course many parents or whatever so did not approve of the show. IP: Logged |

If you have Netflix, check out the British version of Skins Seasons 1 through 3, it's available for immediate viewing so you don't have to add it to your queue (Plus you'll know ahead of time what MTV plans to do for Seasons 2 and 3). The British version is much better because the censorship isn't as uptight as it is on MTV and the whole point of Skins is to relatively "keep it real" with modern youth culture, so naturally, the less censored British version is going to be a better production.
Now I see what you mean! LOL IP: Logged |

I prefer True-life Ghost/Supernatural shows over horror movies. Like...-Ghost Hunters (Rhode Islanders represent. ) -A Haunting... -Haunted Collector * I've tried to watch Ghost Adventures myself but man do they make a meal out of every supernatural event or what? Like WTF, dude? Though I must admit the main guy is sexy. Other than that, there's Being Human UK, Misfits, Merlin, Anthony Bourdain, Family Guy, Andrew Zimmern, the rest of the Travel Channel, National Geographic, and The History Channels. If I'm watching any TV its from those routes.
*Oh, and Foxsoccer Channel or GOL TV since I'm a huge footie fanatic. IP: Logged |
