Maybe it is a neat obscure product, doesn't matter. I just want to try something (new) that is pretty easy to pick up, or, is intuitive, with lots of neat/unique options. That last point is important.

So, tell me what you have used and liked!

I guess my goal is just to take some videos that are more in the vein of what "lo fi" is to music. Video will be more "raw" etc. in other words. I want to be able to include music and integrate photos with the video that I upload to my comp and then edit. Or, just include photos. Adding entire songs, or even partial songs, is also important.

Thanks for any advice.

Movie maker should be easy to use and its free with your OS.

but, if you want to do blue screen and special effects you'll have to go with something alot more powerfull such as adobe premiere.

You should check out particle illusion by wondertouch if you want to add effects. http://www.wondertouch.com/

of course it will cost some money, but theres always torents online.

Hi there,

Adobe Premier Elements is an excellent program and you can download a free 30-day trial at:

https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=premiere_elements&loc=en_us

My personal preference is Magix Movie Edit Pro - it is the most stable of all the programs I've tried. Even if it stalls, it will save and shut down the program whereas the others like Pinnacle Studio etc just hang and you end up 'CTRL-ALT-DEL'ing or turning the PC off. All of these programs are sooooooooo resource-hungry, so make sure your computer is up to it, and you're not trying to use any other programs at the same time!

Have fun!

Regards
Rachel
