Friends: You missed the Royal Wedding!

Me: I know. I was doing something way more important.

Friends: What were you doing?

Me: Walking my dog.

That pretty much sums up my opinion on this whole Royal Wedding business.

I am actually pretty disappointed in my own countrymen who placed so much emphasis on this wedding when we have a freakin federal election coming up. The future of our nation is at stake and we are making a big deal out of a wedding which by all accounts must have been more of a nuisance to the happy wedded couple.

Just goes to show that the commonwealth citizens need to take a good hard look at their passports and note down the fact that they are citizens of THEIR respective countries. That way, they can actually do something about their economic and social problems.

I had no idea it was today. It wasn't until I turned on the news this morning, and found the Today Show instead of my local news.

I don't mind the royal wedding, nor it's expense. It's their thing. None of my business really.

Here in Eastern Carolina, in these United States, an entire hospital (myself included) counted down to the Royal Wedding during what would otherwise be a normal 12 hour nightshift.

Political Opinions aside, it was lovely. I mean I get p!ssed that my family still has its own royals they pay homage to considering the amount of poverty in the region, but then I think..these are their Cultural symbols, why should we begrudge them that? And that's pretty much how I feel regarding the British Monarchs too. Yes, there are some things that should be revised financially but obviously the people still hold some sentiment towards this familyn and that's not something I'm going to judge.

I was very happy i stood up late to watch it on the west coast.Truly beautiful and flawless.
Felt nice to watch history being made, and to take a break from seeing bad news in the world.
I almost shed a tear when i first saw William and Harry in the car riding to the Abby. They looked so handsome and princely.

Charming and romantic!

I wish her bouquet was more defined. It got lost in the beautiful gown.

A beautiful celebration, a sea of happy faces in the mass crowds, an altogether magical day.
No crowd trouble just everyone enjoying a truly spectacular piece of British history.

For the supposed 80% that weren't interested amazingly all the streets were deserted while people watched.
There were street parties and events and everyone seemed to be having a damn good time.
And if that wedding doesn't boost the economy 1000 times more than it cost I'll eat my fascinator

i found out when it was over too, and today finally i took a look at some photos on the internet.

while i don't care much for it, it's a nice thing and i think her gown is absolutely beautiful. she looks prettier than i thought before too.
