This year has been funny health wise. Maybe a continuation from last year. Twice this month I was rushed via ambulance for the same thing, the second time it was worse. Verdict?

My Gallbladder has gone haywire and on the fritz. Gallbladder attacks are not a good thing and can be extremely painful. Though after ALL this times of going back and forth to the doctor - they finally found out what the problem is and now I have to do a follow up with my Family doctor to go see a General Surgeon. (Amazing for a 6th house Neppy person - where doctors think we have mysterious or in your head illnesses).

Now I'm looking for low fat diets and foods that I can eat. I am sad to see my Cruellers, hazelnut ice caps, savory pork chops etc....go out the window. I can stick to fish, chicken, leafy greens, fresh fruit etc.....grains but stay away from white bread and white flour. I have to stay away from milk, maybe a little bit of skim would be good. Not sure if I'm going to go the soy way. If this keeps up I'll be end being a Vegan living with a major meat eater too.

I've been under the knife twice and it is not my friend.....both gynelogical reasons.

I get too scared and think I'm gonna die and my mind wanders off to mortality and the like......The first time I write up my will and the second time I bawled on the operating table.

So I don't know what I'm gonna do........all I know is that I can't be having these attacks.....I'm tired of ambulance rides.

If I were in your position and could not go a natural doctor who KNEW what he was doing which is rare ,I would do this entire 30 day program.
I have done it but not for a serious illness.I know all the steps so can help you.
Get the book "There are No Incurable Diseases" By Dr Richard Schultz
His number is 1-800 HERB DOC
For about $400 you can heal your issue, imo

Every day, try a teaspoon of cod liver oil, and wash it down with a glass of unsweetened grapefruit juice. Ancient family cure, and it works.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In fact low fat, low calorie and often vegan diets WILL make for gallstones because the gallbladder REQUIRES FAT TO STIMULATE IT TO RELEASE BILE....and prevent the formation of gallstones.
Once you have the stones, them you may be in big trouble because even with the oil/fats,
the stones can get stuck in the bile ducts.
So if you have no stones,
please,
a tablespoon of cod/canola/olive/flax....your choice;
every day!

Believe it, I worked hard trying to avoid surgery only to land in emergency with my worst attack yet. My liver enzymes skyrocketed and my liver was very sick. If they didn't remove it I would not have been here today. The Gallstones were cutting off the blood and bile flow from and to my liver.

So I wonder about avoid getting the gallbladder out. So would death be more acceptable then? Just saying that some cases are life or death.

I had my gallbladder out around 10 years ago..
I can eat and drink whatever I want.
I was miserable for two straight years with gallbladder attacks.
Actually, I wish I would of done it sooner, cause nobody should be miserable and in pain.
I hope you feel better soon!!!

I can't say anything about the alternative remedies because I don't know, but this is absolutely the truth about the fat. I speak from painful experience, and everyone I've ever known who had gallstones developed them after going on a diet! I lost a LOT of weight on a low fat diet and that was one of the first things that happened. I can't believe they're still telling people to avoid fatty foods to stop the spasms. I had the stones so bad they had migrated up to the common hepatic duct and were blocking my liver. I could eat Pizza and Fried Chicken with no problem, but eat an apple and glass of water and have one of the worst attacks of all. I had the laparoscopic surgery but I learned a LOT in those months waiting for it and I can tell you that what you eat really has nothing to do with it. When you have an attack, throw up as much as possible because the sooner you get the food off your stomach, the sooner the spasms/pain will stop. I stuck my toothbrush down my throat to make myself throw up because as long as there is food in there, it will keep trying to digest it and the pain will persist. The spasms of the gallbladder are what causes the pain and they can be triggered by anything. That's what they finally told me to do and it worked. Try not to drink a lot of liquid with a meal because it will take longer for the stomach to empty. Good luck.

I strongly concur that diet had nothing to do about it. SOME people have no control over their gallstones or what happens in their body AT TIMES. For around 2 weeks, I was on a Vegan diet and had very little fat. I had my worst and extremely painful attack that put me in the hospital waiting for surgery. Glad it's out though.

Hey Stillatlarge - my liver was getting blocked too. Did your liver enzymes go up as well because of it? My liver was injured because of it. They said it was an Ischemic attack and it decreased blood flow. They need to monitor my liver health now.

Yes.
My worse attacks are when I go vegan and avoid eggs and red meats and fats.
Especially during fasts, so if it acts up, I do a bit of olive oil at least.
If it gets very bad then I go for bacon and within a few minutes it will go crazy and in an hour or so I feel so very much better. That is the gallbladder's purpose, to help digest fats. So if you do not give it any fats, it will stop working right.
Oh, mine has acted up with every low calorie diet or fast for over 50 years to date.

I agree again!
Also in lieu of the grapefruit juice, a bit of cider vinegar helps.
Cod liver oil and olive oil work.
Alternate them, as cod liver oil can be toxic if over used.

No, thankfully, mine just hurt and caused a secondary kidney infection. My enzymes went back to normal. One of the worst things was that they gave me Bentyl, an anti-spasmodic, and Vicoden for about two months. I thought I'd never go to the bathroom again. I know it's TMI, but it was so bad it hurt the external part of my abdomen. It was like you could see rocks under the skin. I had to lay on the couch with my legs up along the wall like I was almost doing a headstand to lessen the pain. If you ever go through this, you'll understand what killed Elvis. LOL. It took WEEKS literally, after the surgery, to get that problem resolved.

Thank you all. Slowly recovering from the surgery two weeks ago. On wednesday, I drove the van for the first time and have been going out for walks etc more.

Diet wise, I'm experimenting and seeing what works.
