I'm trained as a violinist but I can also play the piano. I was never taught but for some reason I can play. I'll think of a song and I can just play it, it's kind of cool. I love playing the piano and hearing it, there's nothing like it. And I have thin long fingers, aka piano hands, perfect for playing instruments.

I want to learn how to play the guitar, I love folk music and I love to sing. I could start a one woman folk band which would be awesome .

I love the piano, and I wanted to play drums when I was younger. I would tap my feet to a beat in my head, and drive other people up the wall, for a little while there (in middle school).

I used to play the guitar and keyboards.
With the guitar, I had a teacher who had encouraged me quite a bit.
With keyboards, I was self-taught.
I dropped both when I went to grad school (no time or money to pursue them any longer).
I'd love to go back to both but money is short once again...

Ah well! then don't go back, buy a guitar or a keyboard and just play when you can.

Making music is a kind of therapeutic pleasure.
