But I gotta get out of this small New England town, and I figure there is more opportunity down there in the city.

I must make something of myself.

Any KFs from this area - tips, hints, ...coffee? If you want my facebook or other pages, add me!

Excited and nervous about going down there, hope I can find some sort of work and an affordable place to live!!

Too preppy/ambitious for my taste. Most of the young people there are either rich (and therefore have a rich kid sense of entitlement... not very attractive) or they're ambitious (and can't have fun because of their career).

I grew up around DC (5 miles from it), and I got the hell out and moved to Richmond as soon as I turned 18. Richmond dudes > DC dudes. More laid back, more liberal, more artistic (more culture).

For some reason I thought you were still in China. Oh well, at anyrate...I currently live in a small town in the South and I now miss my BIG New England town. Yes, once you end up in the-middle-of-no-where, North Carolina you do appreciate what you had up there. I'm sure D.C. in interesting, I do have a distant cousin who lives there but she has the great big job to support a fabulous lifestyle there, where as I'd probably be eating peanuts there with mine.

Which state are you from, anyways? I'm from Rhode Island (hence why I use to complain).

Org. from CT.

Miss small town NE, but that is more town of 100 thousand or so, mine was too small at 6-7000.

Had a few interviews so far, have another one tomorrow.
