It is too corrupt, dishonest, uncaring, greedy, showy for me. So much exploitation and vanity.I have learned to lie about some things (never ever mention I had the c word, even if I beat it, in job interviews, for example. Because most people don't actually care or feel it is even a burden). I know I have problems too but I try to do the right thing and be honest and not screw others over. I want to be successful via honest hard working means. But that has gotten me to the point where I am not, barely surviving. Do I need to join the masses with the above traits? Just today got an obvious scam email in regards to a job..some of these scammers would scam a dollar off a poor man. The greed is too much for me to handle. IP: Logged |

I know how you feel.
I refuse to lie though.
My ethics I feel have been one big factor in keeping me poor.
I have been told I need to master that dubious skill of lying, especially when doing readings for folks.
I will not do that.
Sure, I'd be rolling in dough if I did,
but no, I just cannot stoop that low.
And also my view of;
Do not seek wealth from the dire needs and sufferings of others"
I just cannot exploit folks in need or suffering.
I wish I had answers to your hardships, but have no clear ones for myself either.

Carl,this world is a strange place.
Sometimes it does feel like we are surrounded by strangers.
Endurance is the key to survival.
Endurance is the friut of hope.
You need faith which works only through patience.Patience is one of the fruits of such a trial, and the grace of patience is worth the trial which it may cost to procure it.
Trials gives a proof to of the soundness of our mind body and soul.
Afflictions bring about two things-
1.They try the truth behind your faith by making temtations appear to be true.
2.It produces patience which is an excellent virtue.
In times of trial it is not passion but patience which delivers us of our tribulations.
The more trials you overcome the more you rise strong.
Worldly wealth or vanity is a Whithering thing.Only in making ourselves humble to grace and overcoming trials can we seek eternal happiness and not through perishing enjoyments.

join the club carl i dont like anything dishonest and will almost literally cut people out of my life for such things....its heartbreaking, but if i keep dishonesty around me it corrupts i wish people would just realize the kind of hurt they cause other people...even for the small stuff and in response to your thread title...i often tell people i'm from pluto  ------------------
I once saw a sign that said "sin is death" but if "all deaths are suicide (linda goodman)" and suicide is sin, then shouldnt "death is sin" be more appropriate? when organic is used to describe food then you know we have come to a dark age in history IP: Logged |

keep the faith, no matter what. there are a few of us, but we are in this together. and we have something that people who choose to be like that don't; personal peace of mind. there's nothing worth more than that
