Lately I come across Dragons (books, films, statues) A LOT.
So often that it does not feel coincidental anymore. Maybe just because I notice it now.

Does anyone have a clue what the symbolism of Dragons is?

related but not coincidence

When I was reading the post, a commercial for Survivor came on saying they were bring Coach, the dragon slayer back this season...

I say this symbol means I have to watch Survivor this season.

You strike me as someone who may have a water or air dragon totem.

Totem or some symbolism is here:

Mochai,

thanks for the links.
Funnily I stumbled across the first link yesterday when I was googling Dragons.

Why do I strike you as a water or air dragon, and what does that mean?

EDIT:
I`ve been reading the second link, and yes water or air dragon definitely strike a sounding chord.
Funnily, when I was in london, there was even a little Dragon at the bottom of the stairs of the hotel I was staying in (and they were having a mosaique of the zodiac on the ground of the entrance hall).

Actually it was in London 2 years ago that I at first noticed how many Dragons were plastered all over the city.

Sand,

no, I am a tiger. (december 1974)

And it continues: today I was brushing up the newspaper and the first thing I read was "Silver Dragon", which is interesting, as yesterday in the mall I was looking at the cover of a mystery book and there was also the mentioning of "Silver Dragon".
I am really curious about that symbol now.

Something about your personality type gives off that kind of an energy mix. I say air or water because those are the elements that would strike me as being most in tune with the energy I get off your posts. Communicative or empathic/intuitive. Randall has a chinese dragon totem . I have an earth one primarily.

I suggested it because sometimes totems appear significantly on items that you purchase or in repeating themes with significance. Water dragon would make you much more psychic, air dragon, more insight and communication skills, but they give you attributes that you need. The totems a person has tends to rub off on their character, but the individual's character is also what attracts the totem initially outside of a life situation/path.

I can't foresee a dragon totem being a casual totem that would show up for a short period of time and then leave. Dragon totems are very powerful and great at protection as well.

Mochai,

yes, what you write about me resonates with me. I`m glad that apparently I give a vibe online that is pretty close to my true nature.

Anyway, the Dragon as a totem-
you say it is usually not transitory?
I`ve never really been thinking much about Dragons, or payed attention; and I donīt think I posessed anything with Dragons as emblem. But the more I think about it, Dragons were crossing my path quite regularly in the form of stories/ books/ films / even musicals.
As I said I never really payed attention before.

I know though that a transitory totem may be the crow for me. Crows are always appearing when I am at a crossroad in my life, and also when I need a reminder to stay true to myself.

Yes, if you have it I would suspect it'd be with you for a while.

You might try to ask that if you have a dragon totem, for it to show up and introduce itself in your dreams. Several people I have done totem readings for in the past have had their totems show up in dreams shortly after I did their totem reading. If you're suddently noticing or being drawn to these things it might be that it's trying to communicate that it's there.

I would do a totem reading for you, but I'm abstaining from that for the time being for personal reasons.

If a dragon totem doesn't show up then I would assume it's symbolic of where your life is turning or heading or what you're exhibiting. I've seen dragons linked to kundalini or spiritual evolution more than once. I can't say exactly what it might represent or mean =/

"You might try to ask that if you have a dragon totem, for it to show up and introduce itself in your dreams."
Well, it didn`t show up in my dream yesterday. Though as I remember glimpses from my dream, it was a strange one.
Including a broken key, and one that was slightly damaged.
The entry hall to my appartment (I do not really have an entry hall in real life. lol) was looking like under construction, a lot of dust and stone and trash. (I am pretty sure this symbolises the emotional baggage from t he past I had been reevaluating and facing up in the last months, and that now only needs to be thrown away).
There were also two strangers (young guys, foreigners), whom I had to very determinedly show the way to the door.
But didn`T really help, because suddenly the front of my appartment was gone, and there was a meadow in front of it, and there was a celebration going on with much music and a really BIG crowd.
Funnily I remember that it was the night of Samhain, and I usually use that night for reflective meditation, not for partying.
I found it strange that I was dreaming about a particular date in the dream, that does not happen to often.

Anyway no totems in that dream as far as I can see.
But funnily when I woke up, they were talking about a film on the radio and the film`s title is "Totem". lol

"from that for the time being for personal reasons."
I hope everything is okay with you.

"I've seen dragons linked to kundalini or spiritual evolution more than once."
This would make very much sense.

Draco the Dragon: star group that twists between the constellations of the Great Bear and the Little Bear. Its star, Thuban, found within the body of the dragon, was once the pole star. Draco's strange, winding shape can be explained if Thuban and the rest of the sky is precessed back to their respective positions in the time of ancient Egypt. Draco's body joins with that of the snake held by Ophiuchus, which in turn connects to Hydra. Hydra delineated the celestial equator, and Ophiuchus' serpent followed the equator until it intersected the meridian of the fall equinox. It then bent in a right angle and followed the meridian at the base of Draco's tail until it marked the zenith with the pole star at Thuban. The upper coils and head of the beast wrapping about the pole star. By astronomical chance, the Dragon's Head and Dragon's Tail marked the positions of the lunar nodes, those points where the paths of the solar and lunar orbits intersect and where solar and lunar eclipses may occur. The Dragon's head refers to the ascending node, the Dragon's tail the descending node. In several cultures, an eclipse was attributed to the disappearance of the moon or sun as they were swallowed by a dragon. The fact that the stars of this circumpolar constellation never set plays an important part in its mythologies.
