URGENT NEED for horse transport for evacuation in Bastrop County, TX. Barns that were used to house evacuees are now in the fire's path. Rt 304 still open both ways. Anyone in the area who can help, please call Beth at 512-467-4893 or Rachel at 512-581-2940. There at least 43 horses in immediate need at their rescue, surely there will be more. **Please cross post!!**

Did they get evacuated?

I live about 2 hours from Bastdrop, terrible, terrible destruction.

I love horses, but I left my active horse days years ago.

Will post on FB

Texas is a friendly state, they will be ok.

The fire is only about 50 0/0 contained, it has destroyed, amoung homes and lives, a beautiful pine forest.

Prayers....

I finally got word that only about 30% of the fires have been contained. They've already lost many horses and people are still needing help.

It's a sad situation and I really hope they get a break from it all soon
