My Goodness, what a fuss! *hides under pillow*I am home for right now. They gave me a bunch of meds in my IV. My test on Weds was not as 'out of range' as it was on thursday of last week. (regarding the markers that indicated pancreatitis.) So, they said there could be other things inteferring with the reading.. having lupus and being treated for it complicates many other things.. and so... They said they need some days to pass before retesting. They gave me the choice to stay or to go, and who would want to stay in the hospital over the weekend, doing nothing, getting nowhere, if they can wait at home, so they pumped me up with some stuff in my IV and loaded me up with scripts and on my way home i went. I have to be completely empty before the next round of test, as I guess the treatment (or one of them) for pancreatitis is no eating or drinking for days.. (ugh) b/c that let's the inflamation settle down. so, before I go back Monday, i have to be EMPTY. I'll let you figure out what that means, but Momma ain't looking forward to it. Bless you for your concern!! It may be a longer than shorter journey, but I'll get there. Love you guys. IP: Logged |

GypseeWind Glad you were up to posting. Oh yes, I know what you mean about hospital stays over a weekend. Totally useless and stressful and they charge a fortune. Oh yippie....that "empty" bit. Are they making you drink a gallon of the Cholyte? Wishing for a fast and complete recovery for you!

That is so good to hear...my heart dropped in my stomach when I saw this first...love you Gyps ------------------ Ask Me anything. Anything. I will contrive to bring you the answer. The whole universe will I use to do this. So be on the lookout. This book is far from My only tool. You may ask a question, then put this book down. But watch. Listen. The words to the next song you hear. The information in the next article you read. The story line of the next movie you watch. The chance utterance of the next person you meet. Or the whisper of the next river, the next ocean, the next breeze that caresses your ear—all these devices are Mine; all these avenues are open to Me. I will speak to you if you will listen. I will come to you if you will invite Me. I will show you then that I have always been there. All ways. ♥ IP: Logged |

Thanks Bears and all. So far, no relief in the pain, BUT, I did find out some stuff. I'll share it here, that way I don't have to mail people on FB, lol. A normal thyroid marker in your blood should show up anywhere between 0.47 - 4.69. Mine marks at 214. Two HUNDRED and 14. My doctor ran it three times because she thought the lab must be wrong. So, that's an issue, it can be messing up a lot of other things. I'm thinking it will probably have to come out. I've been dealing with my stupid thyroid for 16 years now, and I'm tired of it. I have a referral for an endochronologist. Also, a friend gave me this very helpful link.. I wouldn't want to read it, if it were me, but some people are interested in medicine, so here it is: http://www.sma.org.sg/smj/4208/4208cr2.pdf It explains how long term Lupus patients have repeated occurances of pancreatitis and all kinds of gastro funsies. So, I have an appt. for a G.I. doctor as well. Actually, I have a referral, they will call me with the appt. I have to have a colonoscopy *fear-dread* done to make sure there are no blockages or that type of thing going on. Not thrilled about that, but, since they do knock you out, I guess I can live with it. So, next week it's back to the lupus doc to be retested and on from there.! It's an ongoing thing, but my transits are uber heavy on health ATM, and soon that will pass, I'm very much looking forward to that! Thank you all so much for your concern and kindness, it melts my heart. IP: Logged |
