I'm alone, perfect Thanksgiving as always..
All the food ready at the same time..
Piping Hot!
at the scheduled time 2:00pm
They all enjoy a Wonderful meal..
and now they're gone...

Sorry, ranting in a way..
anyone else alone
this Thanksgiving Day?

Don't let a quiet holiday get you down!

No, but I was just arguing with my sister - happy families.

I am grateful for them, but every time I'm really feeling that gratitude, we argue. It's weird; that happens with other people, too.

Happy Thanksgiving.

My sister and I both got up late, so everything is rushed. I don't like getting up late, especially on holidays, and then we're both rushing for the shower at the same time (after getting other things done).

My Dad spoke to someone who has no food in the house, though, so getting a shower a bit late, and having it get dark, too early for my tastes, is nothing compared to that. we've had our holidays when we got food in at the last minute.

We also found out that my aunt who has Hepatitis C, and has been on an opium pain pump, is now not keeping any food down, so we're hoping that they can fix that somehow, and that that isn't extremely bad/scary news. My cousin wasn't keeping any food down, just a week before she died.

O gosh Teasel...

when it comes to meds, too much can kill
so there has to be just enough to take
care of the problem..under estimated is
better than too much!

Can they lower the amount she is taking?

She's been on it for three years now, but my mother mentioned it, because she thought that was what mucked up Julie's stomach lining. I'd been told that she (my aunt) had improved after taking herbs that another aunt recommended, so this was a surprise. They're moving so that she can be closer to her younger son, in Tennessee (the older one is back in Italy).

I'm sorry, I would sit and talk with you more, but I have to go and eat dinner now. I'll see you later on.

I had to admit to my parents, that it didn't really feel like a holiday, this evening. It did here and there, but there's something missing. I think it's just because it feels too soon - it feels like it's come up too quickly - and there's just been too much loss over the past two years (especially this year). I also keep having little worry attacks concerning us all getting older, and the chance of losing my family. I know there's always a chance, but it just seems more in my face now.

I've been having stomach issues of my own - two good days this week, followed by two bad days. I lost all of my food since this evening, thanks to my thinking that it was okay, and finally making my big mug of favourite tea; lost my dinner, lost my tea.. it just ruined it even more. Since I got up late, I didn't get to do more holiday things with my family, and since the furnace busted last night (and will cost $300 to fix - taking money set aside for Christmas), just days after the radiator burst in the van, and Dad replaced that.. and the same day he decided to splurge on a fancier TV that was on sale, one of the lower-priced ones, to replace their TV that they bought in 1997. It's just typical.

Thanks
