Well, earlier I went out to take a break from my cold/flu bedridden self of the last few days and I stopped at a new place to grab something to eat. On my way out, something on their wall menu caught my attention. At the same time, a guy who was sitting a few tables ahead of me had come over and was standing right behind me also looking at the wall menu (lol). We did a little awkward dance around each other (I was thinking he was heading for the door and moved to give him space to pass through -until I realized he was looking at the same thing I was looking at). I told him what I was looking at to break the awkwardness. We ended up having a fantastic discussion about a number of things! LOL I live in a big city. People here when complete strangers don't easily talk to each other at such length and depth. We were standing there talking for about 3hrs. We're meeting again tomorrow. It turns out he's not from here but he knows this city better than I do (lol) and has discovered a great place (we have a lot of common interests, are about the same age, similar lifestyle, and so on so forth). LOL Weird kind of out of the blue serendipity. IP: Logged |

I always kinda hope I'll meet someone spontaneously and hit it off, but it never seems to happen. Not unless I'm hammered and at a bar, that is. IP: Logged |

One of the reasons I hit it off with that guy is that we are about the same age (he's only 3yrs older - we exchanged years though not full birthdays yet lol) and in a city of smoke/drink/drugs we both do none of those (we met at a vegetarian restaurant). One of the main reasons I don't get along with the locals here is that my lifestyle preferences and theirs are like 180 degrees apart. Making a friend this way is just the best way to do it. There were a lot of girls my age sitting with their laptops and although I'm very sociable and tried to pick a conversation a couple of times with a few of them, it didn't "stick" or even "fly" with any of them. But with that guy, without me even trying, BOOM, hit-it-off galore. LOL Anyway, it's not a romantic thing; he's just visiting in this city. But I've lived where his home country is and we'll be in touch. It's this kind of friends that I love making; out of the blue, yet so compatible. Like in the few days here he has already discovered a place (cultural hub kind of thing) that may be the answer to my prayers... Isn't that WEIRD?!

I think we meet people like this for a 'soul' purpose..? fate makes your paths cross & where that road will take you down..is to be seen.serendipity is one of my favourite words. IP: Logged |

I agree, starfox! That is why I thought it's special. It remains to be seen as you say what the soul purpose is. In a sense, I see him highlight a side of me that I didn't consciously know it existed. IP: Logged |

That`s so Mars and ASC in Aquarius.

Ceri, interesting that you'd mention that! I'm approaching a T Pluto sq my natal Uranus in the 8th. I expect this to also affect my ASC and 1st house and Mars in Aqua by default! Could these events be manifestations of this square? Pluto has been transiting my 11th house of Aqua! IP: Logged |

Yes, definitely.11th house is about groups and people and friends. The out-of-the blue things sounds very much Uranian to me. And I have always experienced Tr Pluto as a big activator. Like he really brings you in touch with these experiences you need and which are signified by the planets he touches, and of course the houseplacements. IP: Logged |
