I was going to wear some professional, pre-pregnancy slacks this morning with my Bella band, then discovered that they no longer fit through the thighs. I'm wearing yoga pants to work. We'll pretend that they're grey ladies trousers.

I rushed out the door, coffee in a ceramic travel mug with a surprisingly difficult to remove top. It burst all over my van as I attempted to drink from it, ruining my blue tooth phone speaker.

Almost immediately after that, three sparrows - wheeling through the air, joyous in their gift of flight - smashed into my windshield, dying instantly.
