There's a direct message function, or you could just write a tweet including the name of whoever you'd like to read the tweet. For example, if I wanted to send you a tweet, I would tweet as I normally would, but I'd start it with @lindagoodmancom. When you click on the @connect link at the top of your twitter, it'll bring up all tweets that people have sent that include your twitter handle.IP: Logged |

Where is the direct message function? I'm trying to get it where people can message me if they need to, and I will get it on my cell. ------------------

You can only direct message mutual followers. On the profile page, there's a drop down menu in the upper right hand corner that will have a DM option. Again, only if you follow each other.If you don't want to follow everyone who follows you, then the regular @ mention tweet is the only way. I get notifications for those as well as DMs on my Blackberry. If you have a Twitter app on your phone, it should do the same. I don't know how text alerts or whatever work on Twitter, though. @randall, i tweeted you last week i wonder if you were able to see it..the most important thing about twitter is to follow and get followed, that way people who view/read your tweets grows and thus you have a wide range of audience.. now take me for example, i am following you so if you tweet something valuble about our website (LL) i will retweet it to al MY followers and perhaps some of them will take interest.. now imagine if 10 people of us who are on twitter retweet LindaLand (you randall) then a total of (10*100 followers on average per person on twitter= 1000) 1000people will read about LL if 2% decide to follow you then its considered a win!! remember to see who tweetd you check the @Connect button on top of your twitter page.. I finally got LL on my Twitter. Thank you God  Twitter must be great because so many people are addicted to it. I have not gotten in to the flow of it like FB but that took awhile too so maybe Twitter takes awhile to get in to the swing of it. ------------------

@Ami i have been following you for a while now  @Randall i know how u can increase followers just add the hashtag #astrology to every tweet.. that way whenever someone is looking for somthing in astrology they will find your twitter page and probably follow you.. other astrology twitter profiles i follow do short zodiac facts for example: some people think bulls are stubborn, meanwhile Linda saw it as a self-rewarding trait, patience #astrology (i added the hashtag to show you how it works) i will help in promoting, not sure how many of my followers are into astrology but its sure worth a try! I have figured out how to add you Sarah. I just need to wait until my Followers/ Following list becomes equalized. It is a bummer but someone has to do it ------------------

Never really understood Twitter or it didnt work for me. I had one a long time ago but didnt use it. Won't be using my new one for tweeting either. I only got it for Pinterest. Who knows how long i'll be interested in that either. lolIP: Logged |
