I`m planting my Caladiums today for an early start. I`ll put them by the woodstove to keep them above 65 degrees. Sigh, can`t wait!.

A friend said Caladiums grow and thrive in FL like Hostas do here and they`re used as foundation plantings like Hostas too..

My absolute favorite Caladiums are the whites. I mix them with deep red shades up to bright pinks. They really make a statement!

I love the flower meanings... good info to have on hand when gifting flowers!

Very pretty! I bet the contrast between the whites and reds look great. Look forward to seeing some pics of what you grow.

&

I LOVE love love this:

was thinking about a place I stayed at the beach years ago that had a lovely little garden area out back. They used an old wooden lawn chair as a planter and it had some kind of climbing flower growing all over it. Was really pretty!

I bought an old rusty bicycle to do something similar. Still havent got around to painting it or finding a basket for it. Maybe when I find a place I know I'll be at for a long time, I'll use it for what i intended to use it for...someday.

I love it A local village garbage truck has a flowerbed over the cab of the truck and they have stunning petunias in it. So comical and pretty at the same time.
Maybe I can find a pic.

Hauntingly lovely. She invokes many emotions from dreams lost to the gossamar essence of the divinity in nature and human connecting.

That`s one of the many things I love about your Work. They can and do take the various avenues my mind and emotions travel.

Where did it go

The 22nd already... yay I love April.

This fine spring Sunday, I go to adopt a forever friend to enrich our lives. The puppies are Chocolate Labs and need homes. They`re only 3 weeks old but choosing just the right one for Thunderbird to mentor is important .
Since he became so sick, we have put fostering on hold but a forever friend for a companion is healing.

Another gardening buddy!

T, she and dragonflys are stunning. I Love the use of the shades of lavendar , and greens blues It has a Mother Earth feel.

It doesn`t have the emotional power over me the flower lady did tho. But I bet cha Abs would be as moved by the dragonflys as I am by the dreamy flower lady .

The earth is greening up , trees leafing out and wild flowers galore.

The trilliums, trout lillies (atter tongues) and spring beauty violets adorn the woods and shady hill sides.

Honey bees have left their hives and forage daily on my crocus. They zoom about
the spring birds singing ,mating to make new spring babies for next years outdoor show.

Life is great !!
