About a group of women that worked for an upscale bridal boutique. I saw one dress that I absolutely loved, but can't find anything like it online. I like unique dresses that I don't think are very popular with most brides to be. Sculptural, flowing ones with lots of layers and drama. I do NOT like sparkles, or anything bedazzled. Not a huge fan of lace or anything too classic or too "girly".....I know - it's a wedding dress but i mean, nothing too princess or pageant pretty. Will try to find some examples
I love lace and appreciate the craftsmanship of beading (especially by hand), but I don't like dresses that are too prom-ish or, as you say, "pageant". IP: Logged |

Somehow, I already knew I would like T's selections. I wonder if it's because I like your art that I like your taste in stuff? These are my favorite ones: And I'm with ghani in not liking white wedding dresses. Will have to dig up some other ones online. IP: Logged |

Yes! That was me I had a simple dress but perfect for the beach and I paid less than $600 for it which is a steal as far as wedding dresses go. There were many many others that I loved in the pictures but 90% of dresses do NOT look the same when you try them on yourself

Yin & ghani,Yeah, I also really like the colored dresses. But I do love white too - in general, not just a wedding dress. I could see both of you in either one of those Vera Wang gowns. IP: Logged |

Just FYI, my Avast displayed this warning when I clicked on this thread, the source apparently being one of the pix (obviously the pic that set off my Avast should not be clicked): quote: Infection DetailsURL: http://www.weddin gdressesshop.co.nz/2208-3979-thickbox/organza-strapless-rouched-bodice-with-a-line-skirt-2011-hot-sell-custom-made-wedding-dress-wm-0434.jpg Process: C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe Infection: URL:Mal

My favorite style is vintage lace. I want that and have been looking.. I want something that's similar to some of the last few lacy dresses on this thread. I like the look of more dramatic and colorful dresses, but deep down, I want the simple romantic look of lace. IP: Logged |

I love the classic style too, especially vintage lace. I saw the perfect dress when I was 16 in an antique store. I think it was from the 1940s, made from satin or silk. If the day ever comes, I know that my dress won't come close to it because it was the one. Lol. IP: Logged |

I'm like you, I love fashion so I love weddings.I hate "typical" wedding dresses but I also hate tackiness. I don't like non traditional colors (but a little color is okay). I would never pick a dress if it looks basic (basic as in typical). I hate strapless dresses and ball gowns because I feel like every biddy goes for that kind of dress. Boring. I also think mermaid gowns are tacky (I can just picture Kim Kardashian going for that), but SOME of them can be nice. I love long trains, long sleeves, empire waists, etc. I do love that Elie Saab dress you posted, it's saved to my wedding pinterest lol. I also love this one: I like how the skirt is crisp and clean to contrast with the busy top. This is another favorite: I'm short so I feel like this would give the illusion of height. Plus it's different. In a dream world, I'd wear Givenchy Haute Couture: IP: Logged |
