the article makes some interesting and valid points... but i think the researchers aren't digging deep enough - rather, they're not going back far enough in the timeline... the fact is this starts as early as elementary school, more so now than even twenty or thirty years ago... with an increasing dichotomy between understimulation at school and over- stimulation out of school it's no wonder really... we learn at a very early age that life inside school/work is tedious and dull.. factor in that a large majority of adolescents are encouraged to choose a career that pays well as opposed to something they have a genuine passion for... not at all surprising to me that this is now where our society finds itself... the sad part is that most of those who quit one job,due to boredom, will most likely find a similar position elsewhere and repeat the cycle... and employers will keep replacing those automatons with new ones...
