anyone interested in seeing prometheus? its a loose prequel to the famed ALIEN (1979) i loved ALIEN its one of my favourite films of all time, im so excited to see prometheus. it turns out that it will really be its own story though so you can easily enjoy this film if you haven't seen the original franchise. what i love about the story is the adventure of it, into the philosophical side of things - whats out there in the universe? whats the story about where mankind came from, etc. IP: Logged |

Oh definitely loved it! Actually, the whole Franchise with the amalgamated Predator story arch interested me as well. I am actually one of few people who (kinda ) liked the first Alien Vs. Predator movie. Besides, who wouldn't like the Alien franchise?! Absolutely amazing thrillers with one kick ass female protagonist! Its these movies which ended up making me a huge Sigourney Weaver fan. IP: Logged |

i agree!im not a fan of avp because i think the universe of the original stories was better independent from one another. im also obviously a biased alien fan but with arguably good reasons. i grew up loving ALIENS the most but now i think Alien is the best one, i still think the story of alien as a sequel is amazing, but alien as a film by its self, is amazing, its independent. i like to imagine what other planets are like out there and what life may be lurking around in the universe, alien paints a really vivid believable imagination and impression of it for me! aha.. i must admit, i have a small crush for young.. signourney IP: Logged |

Hudson was my favorite for humor. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrjFuTbl_SA Hudson: They're coming outta the walls. They're coming outta the go--amn walls. Let's book! ** Ripley: They cut the power. Hudson: What do you mean, "*They* cut the power"? How could they cut the power, man? They're animals! ** Frost: Hot as hell in here. Hudson: Yeah man, but it's a dry heat! ** Hudson: That's it man, game over man, game over! What the **** are we gonna do now? What are we gonna do? Burke: Maybe we could build a fire, sing a couple of songs, huh? Why don't we try that? ** Hudson: Man, this floor is freezing. Apone: What do you want me to do, fetch your slippers for you? Hudson: Gee, would you sir? I'd like that. [Apone pulls down the skin under his left eye with middle finger] Apone: Look into my eye. ** [discussing where the eggs come from] Hudson: Maybe it's like an anthive? Vasquez: Bees, man. Bees have hives! ** Ripley: How many drops is this for you, Lieutenant? Gorman: Thirty eight... simulated. Vasquez: How many *combat* drops? Gorman: Uh, two. Including this one. Drake: Sh-t. Hudson: Oh, man... ** [during the drop to LV-426] Hudson: I'm ready, man, check it out. I am the ultimate badass! State of the badass art! You do NOT wanna fu-k with me. Check it out! Hey Ripley, don't worry. Me and my squad of ultimate badasses will protect you! Check it out! Independently targeting particle beam phalanx. Vwap! Fry half a city with this puppy. We got tactical smart missiles, phase-plasma pulse rifles, RPGs, we got sonic electronic ball breakers! We got nukes, we got knives, sharp sticks... Apone: Knock it off, Hudson. All right, gear up. ** Hudson: Oh dear Lord Jesus, this ain't happening, man... This can't be happening, man! This isn't happening! ** Hudson: Maybe we got 'em demoralized. ** Hudson: [reading a motion detector] I got signals. I got readings, in front and behind. Frost: Where, man? I don't see **** . Hicks: He's right. There's nothin' back here. Hudson: Look, I'm telling ya, there's somethin' movin' and it ain't us! Tracker's off scale, man. They're all around us, man. Jesus! Dietrich: [looking through an infra-red scope, walks right past an Alien] Maybe they don't show up on infra red at all. [the Alien pounces on her and drags her up to the ceiling] ** Hudson: [Knowing that the Aliens are close, Hicks and Vasquez are welding the door shut] Movement. Signal's clean. Range, 20 meters. Ripley: They've found a way in, something we've missed. Hicks: We didn't miss anything. Hudson: 17 meters. Ripley: [Checking the tracker] Something under the floor, not in the plans, I don't know. Hudson: 15 meters. Newt: Ripley. Hicks: Definitely inside the barricades. Newt: Let's go. Hudson: 12 meters. Ripley: That's right outside the door. Hicks, Vasquez get back. Hudson: Man, this is a big fu--in' signal. Hicks: How are we doing Vasquez, talk to me? Vasquez: Almost there. [They welded the door shut, and stepped back away from the door] Vasquez: There right on us. Hicks: [Waiting for the Aliens] Remember, short controlled bursts. Hudson: 9 meters. 7. 6. Ripley: That can't be; that's inside the room. Hudson: It's reading right man, look! Hicks: Then you're not reading *it* right. Hudson: 5 meters, man. 4. What the hell? IP: Logged |

I'm definitely seeing it, I will watch anything the Fass is in. Amazing actor, and this looks like such a compelling idea for a film. Is it supposed to be dystopian?IP: Logged |

Watched it today. My verdict: YES! For anyone who got interested in Astrophysics, Biology, Chemistry or religion and spirituality to answer the bigger questions of life and who created us, I def. recommend you watch this movie! Ridley Scott just knows how to pull at my heart strings. Everything I believe in (Religion, God, Why we exist) can be summed up in that movie. IP: Logged |
