I can't find the thread you posted on the other day, asking how things are with me. I keep forgetting to subscribe to my own threads.

I'm mostly okay, although I feel like I'm coming down with another cold tonight. I'm just about to try to go to sleep (try again). I was under my quilt, wishing that my mother was awake and sitting there with me, so that I could lay my head on her shoulder (like I did the day before Bertie died, when I was sick, and my back was out), and the next thing I knew, there was a banging on the door at 3am, all frantic. It woke my parents up, and it turned out to be the police patrolling the neighbourhood: they'd noticed that the van doors were open, and wanted someone to make sure that we hadn't been robbed (that's been happening locally). Everything was fine, but I think it's weird how that happened as I was wishing my mother was up. I've been sitting and talking with her since.

I was hanging out at another board, here and there. It has nothing to do with astrology, but guess what I ended up talking about? I PM'd one of the people there, a young guy - Virgo Sun, Aqua moon (a switcheroo on your own placements, I think), and I let him know about LL. I've also been working on a photography course, and trying to garden a bit. I met a new-to-me huge spider, that had me letting out a really undignified shriek last Monday (a while after I'd let another one out when I accidentally picked up a worm). I wondered how many neighbours clued into the fact that a city girl was gardening. I tried again earlier, since we got a handful of plants that had already been started, but I was tired and PMS'ing, and there were spiders *everywhere*. After saying, "Oh, not another one!" after I sent yet another one scattering, I just stalked inside and got in the shower. I think the spider was either a Flower Spider, or a Crab Spider: a huge white body, like an egg sac, but brown head and legs. Scared the crap out of me. There are a lot more than I remember, and I've become used to things like little wolf spiders (or jumping spiders) and the skinny ones running around.

I have been checking in here, but my moods have been up and down, and I was getting in the mood to vent and spill again, so I just decided against it. I visited the other day, because I realized that I wasn't really keeping up with anyone, even though I was glancing in, and I tend to feel homesick for people here. (Some MIA, as well.)

I found a big white spider in my bathroom. Looked like a crab. Had some brown in it also. I caught it and put it outside.

Hey I`m happy to hear you are gardening again. Funny thing "spiders" you and Randall mention them and I got a nasty bite on my index finger today by one. God only knows what kind but as long as it wasn`t a recluse....they don`t scare me but bites can be ugly and painful. Now snakes are my only fear. Just can`t deal with them. they`re the only animal I kill. Hoe them to bits then run like h*ll . It`s out of fear and certainly not malice. I know they need to eat and live too but not in my playground .

btw, I think I asked about you on your birthday thread. Did you have a nice one?

We get our new forever friend, a fat chocolate lab puppy Monday. Thunder will make a great mentor and we`re excited to get him. I had to quit fostering when he got sick so we decided to have a for keeps puppy.

I`ve been taking some time to pull my thoughts together as well. trying to understand why some people think to defeat is the only way to win. Limited thinking and it makes kind people act so stupid. What ever happened to win-win situtations? Anyhow, thats my pondering and guess it`s for greater minds than mine. I`m glad you are back in the groove here. Hope your moods are more up than down and go ahead vent, it`s good for what ails us .

We have a new baby! He/she was found in a parking lot. No name yet, but it's very friendly, and almost always on the prowl. Once it's settled down, then it stays still for a while, and looks perfectly content. I need better pictures, because I only had my camera on me when it was checking everything out.

It looks a lot like Teasel. Yesterday morning, I was thinking a lot about the cats, and my sister said that she dreamed of one. The dogs are curious and/or a little huffy (Emily gets jealous, Walter is too excitable, barks a lot and might accidentally hurt it, etc).

Juni? I haven't seen her since the big storms hit a few weeks ago. I don't read every forum, though.

All`s well teasel the storms took the power out for a while and clean up took more time. A couple back to back family emergencys took all my concentration and positive energy.

Heya Charm, except for the above, summer is a winters dream realized!
