I noticed that just the other night. Is it too hot, or something? Normally, they're making all sorts of noise, and I love it.

How's the weather your way? I have a feeling Juni might be one of the many without power, but Im not exactly sure where she is. Is the heatwave bearing down on you?

It's been in the 90's - early last week, it was briefly in the 70's (and beautiful! I love that weather). It's going to be 100 degrees on Friday. :/

I have seen a frog out on the growing veggies, so I know that they aren't all dead. A toad was hopping along the path the other night, I think it was enjoying the rain we had (it's been sparse here).

Now that you mention it, no.

No crickets making noise.

There are a few live ones in my basement. I like them so I just let them live there. However, no sound of them at night.

Frogs were singing here (England) in late Feb early March.

Other than that our wildlife seems rather diminished.

They're back. They've been back since Sunday, when I heard a faint chirping.
