I missed the landing, because I kept losing the stream, and the computer keeps freezing up, but the stream is continuing over here: http://www.ustream.tv/nasahdtv

Well, 2.5 billion seems a bit high for this--if it's even real.

I'm fine with it, considering all of the money that is spent on other things.

I posted it in the astro forum, because I was going to ask about the chart for the landing. My computer was messing up and I was tired. I also didn't know what to use as a location, since I don't think you can put "Mars" in as a birth place.

We are planning a colonization in 2033. It will be a one-way trip, though.

2 billion seems high?

No way.

California is about to spend 10 billion on 100 miles of railroad track in the middle of the desert going no where.

2 billion to go to Mars sounds awesome.

Speaking of California, it is sending images that look just like the Mojavi dessert in Cali.

Seriously, Mars has shrubbery?

Looks like we all owe Richard C Hoagland an apology...

Note to self: The next time we fake a Mars landing, make sure to preview the location before transmitting the footage.

OMG! I finally understand the meaning of David Bowie's song "LIFE ON MARS"! …It's about the sad longing of modern isolation. I miss you. @SarcasticRover
