Well, not quite yet, but it starts officially on Saturday at 10:49 am EST. That means the sun is shining directly on the equator with 12 hours of day and 12 hours of night for a few days until the days start getting shorter.

And you know, this time of year, as deep south central Texas as it can get, I can always feel it.

I can feel the shift, the sky becomes bluer, the air clearer, we normally get out first "cold front" next week, works out perfectly with the opening of the south zone for the Dove hunters.

One, if one cares to take notice will notice a subtle change.

We had ours early this year, as did last, which lead us to a very warm winter...hope that is not the case this time around!

Its just great, over here in NY the leaves are a gorgeous orange and yellow, and the air has a nice gentle crispness to it. It's one of my favorite seasons

Its getting a tad chilly here in atlanta, I work outdoos and indoors and I dont know if my company provides employees with sweaters. Here in atl I dont think the fall season is that spectacular, I dont remember it being that way.

I'm not ready for it. I've been feeling depressed - it just feels too soon.

Fall could'nt come soon enough for me. It's not quite here yet, I'll be so glad to feel the last of the heat.I know I'm not the norm but I like cooler, wet weather.

O YEA!!!

I actually do my spring cleaning in the fall, I feel as if the "year" is ending and a new beginning.

My Halloween is a combo of traditional Halloween complete with Charlie Brown and The Great Pumpkin! But I also have a very pagan heart and I have the not so traditional Samhain celebration as well~

YAY for Fall!!!

Mother Nature sure has put her Autumn coat on. Leaves changing, the nip in the morning air and woodsmoke on the wind.

I love fall but it leaves the door open to old man winter and and being house bound.

I used to love Autumn, but not so much anymore. I used to like each season for whatever I thought its good points were; this Summer, I didn't like so much, because of certain things happening, but also the excessive heat. I don't mind Summer when it sticks to the rules, and when we used to have more thunderstorms to counter-balance the heat.

I wouldn't mind Autumn so much, if we got to keep the beautiful-coloured leaves all winter. I don't like to see things dying, and it's too cold here.
