I've just been assimilated by the Borg (A.K.A. Apple) and got an iPhone. Resistance was futile. Any tips would be appreciated. I know about turning off GPS and Wi-Fi search to save on battery life. But that's all I know about the thing right now. I don't even know how to surf the net yet or initiate a call! But I can send texts and answer texts (albeit slowly, because I'm used to a real keypad) and answer incoming calls. lol IP: Logged |

Great. I just learned I can take a photo using the volume-up button. It's much better. If I remember anything else I'll be sure to let you know. IP: Logged |

You suggested I be assimilated. Remember?------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

★ If you double click the home button you will open your multitasking bar and can see all of your open apps (once you open an app it stays running in the background even if you exit it, thus wasting much battery life), touch and hold an app until it starts shaking and then click the red x that appears in the corner to force quit it.★ If you press the home button and lock button at the same time you can print screen. This thing is a genius as far as smart phones go.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Turn on Touch Assist, because the power button (on top) goes bad rather quickly, so save yourself from pushing it every time you want to turn off the screen. Just use it for powering off (like when you clear out your cache' and have to power off completely to reset). With the Touch Assist, a circle is placed on the screen which allows you to do a lot of things your physical buttons do, especially turning off the screen (go to device >>> lock screen). To turn it on: Go to Settings-General-Accessibility-AssistiveTouch. IP: Logged |
