I'm watching this ridiculous zac efrom movie, the lucky one? I hate these types of movies.. If you haven't seen it, don't bother.

It's an attempt at making a jerry maguire and zac into a hearthrob but it is just so awful.. This is a movie for women who spend their time reading romance novels and never leave their awfully decorated kitchen in their southwestern home & also a movie for their chubby daughters that are not yet teens to fantasize about; Helps them escape from being bullied about it.

It has a sex scene where u see zac shirtless and even that is uncomfortable.. I see him and it's almost as if he's never really had any experiences with women and forget about the beginning where you see him in bdu's holding an m16..

Anyway-- end rant.

It's an awful movie.
It's slow and typical.

Single mom, wandering man, she takes him in, he clicks with her son and have her nasty ex husband to deal with....

Snooze fest.

This guy may have the body but he's seriously stil a boy and more than likely, a very sheltered one.

I didn't think it was that bad. That muted love scene was tasteful--I didn't think awkward. I thought he was impressive in this adult role, after his High School Musical days.

There is a huge fan base for those sentimental Nicholas Sparks novels, one of which this is based on. Yes, of course they follow a formula. Who cares if there are women who like this kind of stuff? ...Maybe someday you can be okay with the unique type of woman you are, without comparing yourself to others and putting them down, Cinder. You don't have to fit into any mold, you know. It is quite liberating to finally realize this.

And...have you ever been in love?

Idk. If i have been, i don't dwell on it.

Those movies are anything but "love".
It's delusion, if anything.

Overall, i think it was a premature move on his part.. It's a bit much kinda like his "oops" moment in dropping a magnum when putting or pulling something into/out of his pocket on a red carpet?

I haven't been with the guy but let's be honest.. He must've been holding that for someone else and on a red carpet? Publicity, publicity, publicity.

I think movies like that only set up little girls to be ignorant of reality when it comes to relationships and that's why so many end up in sh*t relationships with useless drama before they're exploited even further by self help books and the like.

Romances are fantasy. So is porn. Both can make for a good escape, but neither should be mistaken for reality.

ETA: btw, for a laugh you might wanna look up "Realistic Hollywood Sex-Scene" on YT by College Humor. It's age restricted but I don't recall any actual nudity.

So, you don't even know if you've ever been in love, yet you know when a movie is a poor representation of love. *Sigh* Ok, Cinder. You've got it all figured out.

i agree that silly movies like this one are as realistic as Disney movies (except for Alice in Wonerland, that one is pure THRUTH )

Jovian, im pretty sure whatever Cinder's love quests are/were they're more meaningful than this shallow over-used story..

I'm a fifth house sun trine neptune with moon in leo conjunct venus in Cancer... I believe i do.

And having some strange man show up at a ladies doorstep with a picture he found of her while he was at war, is not something "romantic". It's scary and if you've ever met a soldier who has fought off elsewhere, they're not exactly the most stable of people.

If anyone considers that to be "romantic", i think they might've earned the potentionally psychotic soldier showing up on their doorstep to befriend their kid..

He'll be all the rage before he boils the kids bunny.

I had a short-lived affair that lasted a few minutes once in the back of an El Camino and even that had more substance than said film.

I actually loved this movie. I am one of those women who has read most of the Nicholas Sparks novels and loved those as well.

Libra girl here - hopeless romantic and loves all things beautiful.

And for the record... I do leave my kitchen and it isn't awfully decorated(mostly because my best gay friend decorated it for me, but I digress). I also live in the southeast (not west) and I don't have a chubby daughter.
