I'm so sorry about the woes, Charmaine. I was using my car to charge my cell phone.

We were helping out any way we could all day yesterday. Handing out blankets, food, cleaning.. My home was flooded too, my cat died while at the animal shelter as we had to keep our fluffas safe from the storm.

Lots of work still to be done.

To those who can afford it, please, please help out any way you can. Many were left homeless and any sort of help will be tremendously appreciated.

Charm, I`m so sorry to hear of the loss of your kitty

I`m so glad you (and other knowflakes)made it through and are campaigning for help. Until this storm, such devastation wasn`t imaginable for most of the U.S citizens.

All, please donate blood, money, winter coats, bedding or what ever you can.
You CAN make a difference!!

The guys in my neighborhood, as always, have banded up to be of service. The physicians provide free medical attention and pharmaceuticals. The lawyers handle the insurance claims and deal with bills. The rest of us are out with our chainsaws to clear roads and do yard work and fix cars. We've all opened our homes to those without heat and power. Many of us have loaned all our vehicles to those without wheels. We've pooled all our still frozen meat for a barbeque in the cold this weekend so that we can provide free food to everyone.

YTA,
The news was warning folks about scam artist without proper licensing & know how going door to door offering to do repairs /clean up. It is wonderful to hear you are doing it for free and keeping neighbors safe.

Still frozen meat, wow you must have a heck of a freezer !

Not mine, juniperb. We've got guys in the neighborhood with those built in standby generators that can power the space shuttle. Lol.

Mine was a POS that failed after one day. Lol. I emptied out my fridge. It was a salmonella hazard.
