I wonder how he shaped industrial-looking containers out of plastic, from home?

That part of the invention process has always baffled me...how does a person, without a factory, manufacture a prototype for an item that will be factory-made?

Anyone know? Business lesson appreciated!

I can't hear the video at work.

As for ideas on how to self-create plastic things, a couple ways come to mind. One is creating a mold, and using resin. The other is the new 3D printing technology.

3D printing would be the easier route if you know how to use design software. I know that a wide variety of materials can be used with the 3D printers, but I'm not certain if the black microwave plastic is one of the materials.

I'm still curious about other options.

the money part can be solved by persuading an investor - private or govt - to stump up. indeed there are govt programs and private organizations set up for just this sort of financial solution.
