I can't even afford one of these beautiful phones. I still use Landlines. Am desperately ignorant and lacking in experience with these......... *heavy sigh* Wishing I could run and play, too! IP: Logged |

after a jailbreak using Redsn0w and then unlocking the phone with the help of this vid, I am on my way to cheaper monthly bill - unlimited everything. it only took me 4 hours. was being extra careful not to do something wrong. looks like it's good to go now and I'm free from AT&T and their huge monthly bill!!! mirage, they are a lot less expensive these days, especially if you go with an older model, not the latest iphone 5. Some say the iphone 4 is better anyway. That's what I have. TMobile started carrying them and you can also bring in your own iPhone if you have one and do a prepay option if you want (which I do) & now can. ATT did not have that option. And saved myself having to pay someone $50 to unlock it for me. Now I will pay about half of what i was per month.IP: Logged |

....well *ahem* I spoke too soon. My excitement was short-lived. Either i did something wrong, or I don't know....i probably did something wrong. It wouldnt work, but that is okay because it worked out for me in a better way.I went to a wireless company that specializes in switching smartphones and unlocks them and they put me on a prepay plan, at almost the same rate as TMobile would have, but now I am with a carrier who's cell towers run off of ATT's, which makes my phone operate better than it would have had I gone with TMobile. *sigh After all that - all that for nothing, I got a great deal anyway and am not going to miss those huge ATT bills. Guess I'm not the hacker I thought I was.
& I really didnt even need to jailbreak it as I don't really know what to do with a jailbroken phone anyway. I just knew that needed to be done before attempting an unlock. They fixed what I did and then got my phone on a plan i am happy with. No late fees when I forget to pay the bill either. I'm free!!!!!!!!!!!! IP: Logged |

I was behind the times and didnt realize that there were so many other options out there. When I got my first one you could only choose between ATT and Verizon and no pre-pay option with them. Now you can go with just about any carrier at a price I you like - a much more reasonable one. IP: Logged |
