It's supposed to drop into the 50's later this week here. THANK YOU GOD! So tired of mid 80's. We have not had much of a winter here.....or for the past number of years, for that matter.

I really relish the cool days. It's a nice break from the constant heat and stickiness. It gets to be too much sometimes. Even though I prefer it over snow.

juniperb, thanks for the flowers.... they were fun!

I used to love gardening! And I recognize that 3-stage composting, mockingbird! Composting is a science!

In one yard I planted beds with over 700 Breck's Tulip bulbs. Hostas and aliums. Hibiscus. After a few years those Breck's tulip bulbs had really taken to the soil and looked to be on steroids! My property in bloom became a neighborhood show-stopper! Curved beds of sweeps of color!

Tulips have a gorgeous scent inside the house!

On a funny note, there was a particular tulip bed under an oak tree where the squirrels really liked playing with the tulip flowers. They'd get on their backs, with little paws up, then bat the hell out of my poor tulips just for fun!

Looked weird to suddenly notice certain flowers shaking... but I figured I'd just go ahead and sacrifice those to the squirrels. It was joyfully entertaining to watch!

NO WAY T.... I'm enjoying this! But I don't enjoy the lightning storms in the afternoons. Well, at least if you don't have to rely on bus system here, the deluges are cool.

The daily lightening storms in the afternoons are great, when they happen, in summer season. Was nice to get rain earlier today, since we've not had enough of it lately.

yeah, it really wasn't bad. It's still cloudy, and looking here and there like the sun may want to come, but I really enjoy the moisture-packed air.

I've not been able to take it like I used to for some reason. So I really like it when the air dries up once in awhile and even more when one can wear a nice, comfy oversized sweatshirt or sweater and not sweat her t!ts off every time she walks outside. once in awhile it's nice to leave your house, open your door w/o feeling like you are stepping into a sauna. lol

Somehow, somewhere, under these ice balls ,is a hidden hint of spring.
