I posted a thread about fads, last year - wondering what the new ones might be, following fairy tales (that had me thinking of Neptune in Pisces).

I suppose this could be another side of that - The Following, and Cult, are both about networks of people following one serial killer/cult leader, but the stories are different in the sense that one is out in the open, and the other is somehow worked through a television show that broadcasts on the CW. Kind of poking fun at themselves a bit there, too.
