Well the telegraph csn be a little lax with facts, but i have heard ofof plenty of such mistakes. We tend to forget doctors suffer from ego and imperfection like the rest of us..

I had a woman gp who was the same age as me, and had a hard time accepting that some pains i had could be premenapause...i was "too young"! But she duly agreed t my request for tests.
