For the most part as long as you start watching in the beginning of a season, your not lost..Each season is a new story line. I think season 5 is the best.. I highly recommend seeing it. Here's a link about all the seasons.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/24_(TV_series) This is one show, where you have to except the unexpected... This show kills off its main characters, like drinking water.. All jack is the only one that never dies..

Well, Sherlock had a girlfriend of sorts named Irene who got killed by Moriarty. That set him on the path to using and abusing opiates, which he later kicked via rehab (and stayed off of with help from Dr. [Joan] Watson). In the second to last episode we learn that Irene isn't dead after all. She's just been kidnapped this whole time. Moriarty lead Holmes to her in return for a favor. In the finale, the police start investigating the terms of Irene's capture. Holmes is busy tending to Irene, so Watson consults with the police in his place. She notices an unusual paint color that was present in the space where they found Irene (Irene is a painting restorer by trade). This leads the police to find a vendor of the paint, which leads them to a guy they suspect was Irene's handler. The paint was bought by a guy with a record, but he had bought it for his brother (who is a special forces or CIA badass). Moriarty is then upset at this handler guy, and arranges for his dismissal, only he's too sharp to fall for it, and kills Moriarty's agents. He then decides to kill Holmes, because Moriarty has been specifically asking that Holmes not be harmed. When he goes to kill Holmes, Holmes is saved by Irene. She shoots her handler. It then becomes clear that Irene is Moriarty. So if Irene is Moriarty, then even if she supplies some story of her captor, it doesn't make sense that she'd send her henchman's brother to fetch her paint. Nor should it have bothered her that the police got on to him (as she would be behind what set him up). the character was convenient to the story, but not super logical from the perspective of the ruse Moriarty was perpetrating. Then, to top it off, they caught Moriarty in the end, which isn't how a freshman show should end its first season (with the apprehension of the main character's nemesis). IP: Logged |
