I'm sure most, if not all, of us could rattle off a few things we consider ourselves 'passionate' about...but how do you define that type of passion? How do you know you're PASSIONATE about something?

We all mentioned things that we know we are passionate about. You just know. For me, you can do it for hours, and it's not work. It grows to become part of your core and is who you are. It defines you.

You will know when it happens and then you won't have to ask. I used to ask this all the time until I found my passion and am now doing it. I get surprised every time I get paid because I would do it for free. I love the people I meet and everything, really.

I guess when you find that thing that you are ready to spend hour and hours and hours talking about and willing to pass on the knowledge about for free, and people actually enjoy it instead of thinking 'oh won't they shut up already' because your coming from the heart not somewhere else.

Like just passing on this 'source of joy' to others is a reason enough for you to wake up every morning and sleep every night thinking about.
You immerse yourself in knowing that subject even more, and nothing can get in between you, and this new passion of yours, because you are not even thinking of that, all you are thinking of is getting to know and do as much about this thing as you could.

at least that's how i'd know what i'm passionate about

Thank you, Mirage dear
I never knew what it was like to have found your passion until I did. I am blessed that it happened but it happened by following many smaller passions for many years and then it came together in a career. I am just thankful I did. I consider it God's blessing, not anything I really did.

You don't know it, you feel it.

What do you love, hate and want to participate in?

Keep asking deeper and deeper why's! The last line is your passion.

Mine is:

Helping a Soul who has lost everything

Birthing babies

Nurturing little children

Nurturing the elderly

Being with the dying

Mentoring teens (love it!)

I am a midwife for life, death and life.

What am I destined to do? I'm not so sure. But my passion is a carriage that I am a passenger within.
