We have a few of these threads already, but in light of the recent and upcoming blockbusters, I thought I would start another one.I saw Star Trek today! EPIC! I also got my advance showing ticket for Man of Steel. It's my most anticipated movie of the year! IP: Logged |

I'll definitely see the ones you mentioned, Randall.I saw the Great Gatsby recently. It was decent, but my wife is correct in saying that it's a bit difficult to empathize with the characters. I kinda want to watch the Robin-Hood-like magician movie. That looks interesting. There's a movie starring Rupert Grint and Alan Rickman (from Harry Potter) and Stana Katic (from Castle) called CBGB that I will definitely see. I'll probably see Iron Man eventually, but I'm not rushing out the door for it. I thought Iron Man 2 was a little weak. Moviepilot is a pretty good site for getting insight into movies that are coming. We'll probably see the next Hangover movie. IP: Logged |

I'm so behind on movies, in part because it's hard to make it out with three kiddos......soo... I just saw Life of Pi and Les Miserables and have Cloud Atlas chilling while waiting for my husband to finish the book. ------------------ If I've included this sig, it's because I'm posting from a mobile device. I still have the last Batman (Christmas present) that I haven't seen because it's hard to find 3 kid-free hours that I don't wind up using on chores or (more happily) intimacy or sleep AG - Is CBGB about the club? Edited to add: Yep. Neat. ------------------ If I've included this sig, it's because I'm posting from a mobile device. Please excuse all outrageous typos and confusing auto-corrects. IP: Logged |

Here's a link to Cloud Atlas(there's a discussion about it in another thread too) if you would like to share your thoughts about the movie. I liked it too. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum25/HTML/004012.html IP: Logged |

Saw Fast Six yesterday. It was pretty good. Not as good as Fast Five, in my opinion. If you didn't watch Tokyo Drift, you probably should first.Saw Iron Man today. Epic! The best of the three, I thought. Don't listen to the critics. And stay all the way till after the last credit rolls. IP: Logged |

They are already filming Fast Seven!Saw Hangover 3 yesterday. Loved it! It's not funny like the other two, but it has twists and surprises. One fun ride. Several animals are killed, so it's not for everyone. Saw an extended trailer for The Purge. Looks terrifying. IP: Logged |

This was the largest grossing Memorial Day weekend ever at $316 million. Fast Six is in the lead with Hangover second. Looking forward to Man of Steel in a couple of weeks. This week is Now You See Me and a new space movie with Will Smith and his son called After Earth. Also White House Down. I will be watching all three.IP: Logged |

A Waking LifeIt's about dreams and the animation is literally unlike anything you've seen. It's real people being interviewed but they are animated. "Dreams. What are they? An escape from reality or reality itself? Waking Life follows the dream(s) of one man and his attempt to find and discern the absolute difference between waking life and the dreamworld. While trying to figure out a way to wake up, he runs into many people on his way; some of which offer one sentence asides on life, others delving deeply into existential questions and life's mysteries. We become the main character. It becomes our dream and our questions being asked and answered. Can we control our dreams? What are they telling us about life? About death? About ourselves and where we come from and where we are going? The film does not answer all these for us. Instead, it inspires us to ask the questions and find the answers ourselves." IP: Logged |

Saw Now You See Me yesterday. It was entertaining, but it wasn't what I thought it would be. Filled with unexpected twists, though. You will never guess the surprise ending. IP: Logged |

After Earth was the best movie I've seen all year. Soooooo incredibly good! The Internship wasn't as funny as I would have liked, but by the end, it made up for it in heartwarmingness (if that's a word). If you liked Wedding Crashers, you will enjoy it. IP: Logged |
