so...i need to know the following:
is there more truth on evolutionary biology than we think?
this is the thing...ive been lived in three different continents, different cultures
and...this is what ive noticed:

- most male friends didnt get along with their fathers or had issues with their fathers, dad who abused substances or disappeared/abandoned the family
- most male and female friends had a abetter relationship with mom than dad for similar reasons to the one above
- male neighbors and male friends didnt seem to be compelled to keep contact with children after divorce...as a matter of fact, some didnt even want to pay child support, or, once they remarried, even if they ddint have any problem with paying child support, they set their children of their previous marriage aside...
- rarely saw files (line of work) about men asking for joint custody, it was usually the moms who were always were the primary caretakers and, dad didnt care if mom carried most of the bulk.
- interestingly enough, although nowadays, more men (in western society) are raised in single-parent household, usually by a mom, it doesnt mean that these young men are growing up being more sensitive about these matters...as a matter of fact, there are quite misogynist young men (being raised by women)...what is going on here?

overall, i see men (yes, i know...generalizing here, bear with me) still acting a la spread your seed and move on....and leaving the female (human) species with the bulk of the work...
evolutionary biology anyone?

Messages (some call them "mind viruses") get passed down through the generations, and kids learn by example. And then there are their peers which are influenced by both that AND the media combined, and I believe that's where a lot of boys pick up their attitudes. Oh, and it doesn't help that plenty of women have internalized misogyny, are much more hateful toward other women and even openly say they don't like their daughters as much as sons, and also encourage a more misogynist attitude themselves.

And btw, when a man does marry another woman, many women prefer he not pay child support to previous children as well, but rather on her. Whether this is pure selfishness or because it feels like a commitment to another woman (and thus insecurity) isn't something I can guess at, however.

thanks pixiejane....

as to child support, i cant say...
i will tell you that in my line of work...this have been men who may or may not have even been involved with a new woman...
it is as if fatherhood ended with divorce....
i swear....
and, im talking about men of all socio-economic backgrounds and races....
like...this millionaire who doesnt want to contribute a dime to his infant children. i just dont get it.

i agree about the misogyny among women...yep yep.
