So I didn't know where else to ask this or bring this up.

But you banned Palputations or closed his thread offering free vedic readings and possibly his other threads on astrology 2.0.
I have seen other people post similar threads where the reports were sent to their emails instead of being posted on the site.
Why was he banned for doing the same?

I did receive a report from him, and I can say it was very accurate, and I didn't get spammed from him either. He seems very helpful, and I asked soooo many personal and probably annoying questions. He answered each one without being gruff or telling me I was asking too much in one go.

He does know his stuff, and based on his own personal story, I don't feel he has any malice or ill intent. He just wants to help others who are struggling as he once was. He told me things in a very personal manner; it was not a computer generated sheet that someone copies and pastes; he took a lot of effort and replied genuinely.

Also, lots of vedic astrologers really focus on privacy. Who knows maybe that was his reasoning. Or maybe he didn't know it was that big of a deal? I honestly didn't know about the whole email thing either....

Being a reader of vedic charts myself, I don't take on requests to read vedic charts on a public forum. Main reason would be it is really very uncomfortable to me to say things that could be highly private to the person.And of course, because I have like ten thousand things that I do, I really can't allow myselt to invest more time on reading Vedic Charts. However Vedic can be very overwhelming to the person requesting the reading because more than often they aren't even aware what they have asked for! That being said, you can truly and honestly bring help to people if that is the intended purpose and also depending on the depth of the reading.

Also if I may say this :

The rules and regulations should be plastered somewhere on this forum so that they are clearly visible thus preventing members to be banned for not respecting them.

Again rooting for the good purpose of a sticky thread

maybe it was someone who sent him the email after you told him not to take any requests for now, and him wanting to be helpful didn't want to say no?

it doesn't even look like he was charging for his time and effort, which is something you yourself like.

Maybe you could have him back for a trial period again and post all the rules of the forum to him?

I would also like to take a look. I don't think I have ever paid attention. : /

I'm not looking to add a bad person back onto the site. I guess, he has helped me and continues to teach me about my chart I just don't think he would spend all this time just to get my email. There are easier methods.

And he mentioned that he is only doing this during his vacation so he has more than enough requests from here and from friends and family to keep him busy.

He only answers questions so again it's not a full blown sit down about the chart. He doesn't overreach either or pretend to give you all the answers. He's pretty frank about what he knows and is unsure of.

I just think it's a huge misunderstanding between two well intentioned individuals.

He responded to mine and he was very courteous and professional. And he answered all my questions with the utmost depth and patience, and told me some about Vedic astrology that's made me resolve to invest in some books and learn more about it. It's fascinating.

While I understand that Lindaland is a forum where people need to post the info in order for everyone to learn--the rules are there for a good reason--he told me that he was following the Vedic rules for being private and discreet. According to what he said, it's something like a doctor/lawyer/client relationship. I suppose if this is the case, that's why there's not many Vedic astrologers on Lindaland. :P

You could read a vedic chart by skimming the details out,private things I mean. But if the person wants to go in deeper, then a certain degree of privacy needs to be respected, you can't just blurt out sensitive things on a public forum. That would be very insensitive.

I didn't get any spam emails, but maybe because I only saw the thread and chose to go ahead and email her instead of posting my information in the actual thread.

I'm still trying to study and wrap my head around sidereal astrology. I've often felt Geminian, but I thought that I was a Cancer with lots of Mercury aspects and a Gemini DSC. But me being a Sun-Mer-Ven Gemini with Scorp ASC makes lots of sense, too.
