NCIS --
new season began (last night, 9/24)... such a great show!

But it irritates me when they pull one of their 'To Be Continued' endings... grrrrr! not nice! They started doing that more often last season. This 'device' does NOT have a 'good effect' on me and my roommate.... psses us off enough that we almost want to say 'heck, forget it!' It's becoming cliché.... (TV used to use it in the 'olden days') Too much of that is a turn-off!

NCIS-LosAngeles, &

PERSON OF INTEREST--

We record these during the week, then watch on the weekends. Can hardly wait!

HAWAII 5-0!
Always loved that show... since I was a kid!
I think they have the BEST theme song!! (Love those trumpets!)
(clip) Hawaii 5-O FULL version THEME song [3:19] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFGeUiSvNCM

Didn't like 'car commercials' until I started watching this show. They made it actually fun to see cars-- from Chevrolet!

ELEMENTARY (Sherlock Holmes)
recording for later

BIG BANG THEORY is always great!

-9/26

Had to 'take a break' from watching politics right now... but want to acknowledge these--

sincere thanks go out to msnbc's Rachel Maddow,
for her sensibleness, thorough work, (and sometimes almost-snarky humor... love it~~ so 'healing' to me)!

May as well do shout-outs to:
The Rev. Al Sharpton (Politics Nation),
Hardball with Chris Matthews,
and The Ed [Lawrence] Show.....

I don't know how we're going to watch all this! Once Upon a Time in Wonderland now? I still have to get caught up on the existing one!

Castle started with a two-parter. It was fairly typical Castle-style.

Elementary and Parks & Recreation both brought us to London in their premiers. Both shows ended really strong. Sherlock's brother blew up Sherlock's stuff at the end of Elementary, and Ron Swanson found his favorite scotch-maker on an island in Scotland.

Blacklist started a little weak in my opinion. The imagery in the commercials lead us to believe it would be better. There were holes in the plausibility of rather key things.

It's Always Sunny started pretty well in its new home.

Boardwalk Empire has started pretty good. Some of the developments have been head-scratchers, but I'll give the show some leeway.

Hello Ladies wasn't great.

Not-Returning Favorites:
Dexter ending versus Breaking Bad ending? Breaking Bad was way better. What they did with Dexter was understandable from a writer's perspective, but it didn't match the thrill of the show. Breaking Bad did.

I like what they've done with new season BIG BANG THEORY... The characters are modeling how to have better personal boundaries.

Hello AcousticGod.... Your post wasn't up before I did mine above.

ELEMENTARY.... Talk about boundaries! yeah.... surprise at the end... gosh, that guy they introduced is sooooo handsome! And those manners? O, I just melted!

BLACKLIST.... Last episode tries to introduce more info... still hazy.
Something inside me is irked by their making that serial killer a type of 'hero'.
One thing I REALLY loved is their respectful 'appropriate' use of Elder-Women in the last episode. And OMG, what an ENDING to that one (about human trafficking)!! whoah.... shocker (But actually, I kinda guessed it. Still a shocker. haha)

Yes, Ellyn.

Mirage,

Yeah, Elementary was good. His brother is charming in his own way. I wasn't sure where they were going with that. Jonny Lee Miller is turning into one of those actors where I like everything he's in. Lucy Lui is a Sag, so what's not to love?

I watched Blacklist last night. Better. The story was pretty interesting, and it was a nice twist. There's still a lot that isn't plausible. It is cool about the elderly ladies, yes, but at the same time, the man is kind of forced to override them, and cave to the anti-hero's demands. I do enjoy the spy-like quality of it. I like the trap she set for her husband. I thought that was smart.

We watched Rebel Wilson's show last night. I think it's called Super Fun Night. Not bad. Brooklyn 99 is good, too. Brooklyn 99 seems to have the right kind of ensemble cast necessary for success (a good balance of funny male and female characters).
