Pulling out the other side we ended up with about 10 in. fluffy snow whirling about.

Fluff means we have electric but down state 300,000 are powerless and cold from the same ice storm.

Another lake effect mess with oddles of snow is expected tomorrow.

Gotta laugh for the fear of crying

CG, I hope your world is back to normal and old man winter is being have.

Midstate will be out of power until projected weeks end. Our community sent down generators to help the warming stations keep running efficiently.
We got another foot since posting but it has warmed up to the teens so it is bearable and even fun to take the dogs for a run in. They love the big fluffy snowbanks and wallow in them.
Merry Christmas!

I can imagine. We are out of space to move snow already. We will have to get the tractor out and move snowbanks for this weeks dumping...

Brrr, I hope all are warm and safe. With negative 25 & highs of 1 degree, nothing runs smooth and the grid is hit and miss. I love the high tech age but it doesn`t love the new ice age .

Snow and cold overload and

no break in sight so stay safe!

Yikes, luckily it didn't drop that low when we were hit. My poor friends in Toronto lost power for a wk and spent christmas with zero power. :/

One good thing is these snowstorms tend to bring the community together to help each other. In that way I think its good for us.

Man, I feel for you guys!

All I can think about, is stories I heard as a kid. Stories about people having to tie rope between the house to out-buildings in order to find their way back~ after caring for the animals...

It's a balmy +8* here. Got my fur lined flip flops on.

It` about that bad. Worse is they icey roads. I had a near miss today but for the grace of God. Slid sideways into oncomming traffic but straightened it out. I sit beside the road for a bit to quiet my jangled nerves. I don`t enjoy driving anyhow and this is a nightmare.

--OMG, be careful out there on the roads!I would definitely have to pull over too. They change so much with drifting and black ice. We had someone pass us on a solid line road with a curve coming up while there was drifting snow around. We thought the driver was insane.

It's very cold here. We got out earlier, and I got some food in for what I need to make. The place was busy, most of the water was gone, and other parts were cleared out. I haven't been that freaked out - I'm more concerned about Dad being out on the road next week - but so far, we have power, and food, so that's good.
