Wowser, good stuff and I`m sure at various times, others will resonate more but at the quick glance: *Successful people are self-assured and know they are powerful. They never need to show off. * Actions speak louder than words and will offset any rumours and lies that your enemies spread. * With liberty comes responsibility for oneself and thank you! ------------------ Christian, Jew, Muslim, Shaman, Zoroastrian, stone, ground, mountain, river, each has a secret way of being with the Mystery, unique and not to be judged. Sometimes your actions don't always speak for you, because people aren't always privy to them when it counts. But I've skimmed and agree.I haven't felt young for a few years. I have to keep reminding myself that, technically, I am. That reminds me of something that I might start a thread about... IP: Logged |

Thanks knowflakes. I hope it can be of help to you all.Teasel, if the rumours have spread far, yes, this can't be counteracted. Those within your reach, friends or not, will see what has happened though and realised that they are not right. Often people will hear it and gang up on you. They will then come back to you after a while when they've thought about it objectively and realised their attitude was wrong if they happen to be mature enough. But yes, as you say, not everything can be counteracted and rectified.

''* Educate yourself always. It is a life long task and not restricted to academic pursuits. It can be in anything that you choose. You'll be surprised when you will use it and how you can use it. * Travel a lot. It opens your eyes. *If you are able, learn another language. Speak their language, you can become your friend as my mum says.''Totally agree! Your whole list is awesome. IP: Logged |

* There is more happiness in giving than receiving.* Successful people are self-assured and know they are powerful. They never need to show off* *Be honest with yourself and critically analyse a situation if something has gone wrong and admit to yourself honestly that you may have been at fault. What I'm trying to say is be honest enough to accept that you can be at fault sometimes instead of always deflecting fault and blame on others. Quite. IP: Logged |
