I suppose this is a bit late - the New Year has already lost its luster for me, with some depressing news last night, but I'm curious as to what you would choose. I couldn't decide. I had words like, "Quiet" and "Ease" swirling around my cluttered mind. I kept to myself leading up to the New Year (for the most part), and a few days in, because I was trying to just enjoy it, rather than feeling kind of exposed - there's a discussion going on in Sweet Peas about the internet, and that was a part of it: I didn't want any trouble, or reminders of anything that would depress me. After the kitten died, I almost didn't come back here, or visit a few other places again. I was ready for a clean break.

I was thinking about the word "peace" - that's been my focus word for a few years now, along with a few others, but at the moment, it requires the cooperation of others. That isn't going to work for me. I've been trying to find peace inside myself, but I still have a lot of trouble with that.

What would you choose?

I'll be back to respond to the rest. Sorry - having a bad day. 2014 isn't any better than last year.

One word: ESP. I died on 1/04/2013 & came back to life. Used to be an Aries with a Leo rising and a Libra moon (full moon) born on 4/14/1984 in Katy, TX. Now I think I'm a Capricorn, still with a Libra moon and a Pisces ascendant conjunct Pisces in Neptune. I feel very different and I have MAJOR ESP. Am I a psychic?

The Number 7
________________________________________________________________________

Vibrates to: Neptune
Represents: Spirituality, sensitivity, sympathy, and mystery.

7 is the number of illusion and delusion, sometimes deception - by also the number of healing and miracles, faith - and dreams that come true.

When the Sun Sign is:

PISCES:
This vibration intensifies the Sun Sign personality traits.

VIRGO:
This vibration sometimes opposes the Sun Sign motives, but, with effort, can be used to balance the Sun Sign nature.

TAURUS, CANCER, SCORPIO, CAPRICORN:
This vibration harmonizes well with the Sun Sign character, motives, and personality traits.

ARIES, GEMINI, LEO, LIBRA, SAGITTARIUS, AQUARIUS:
This vibration is in sharp contrast with the basic Sun Sign instincts.
When it surfaces on occasion in the personality, the behaviour is so unusual, relative to the person's or entities normal or natural Sun Sign attitudes, it startles others, and often surprises themselves as well.
________________________________________________________________________

The Meaning of the 7 Vibration
________________________________________________________________________

People or entities with the number 7 tend to have remarkable dreams. Sometimes they talk about them - and sometimes they keep to themselves. But they do dream more than most. Secretly, they have an intense interest in the esoteric mysteries, mythology, spacecraft or UFOs... and the entire forest of the unknown. They often possess the gifts of intuition and clairvoyance and a certain quieting, calming magnetism which has a great influence over others. Often, their mere presence has a soothing effect on a troubled person. The 7 vibration is associated with peculiar ideas about religion, a dislike of following the beaten path, and a tendency to adopt political beliefs which are unique and somewhat non-orthodox. It's not unusual for a 7 person to discover, found, or believe in a new religious concept.

The 7 person will either travel extensively at some time in the life or else read avidly books about foreign people and faraway lands. Many people influenced by the 7 vibration are strongly attracted to the sea and at some time are associated with sailing, water sports, or the Navy.

There's a tendency to be anxious about the future, which is why 7 people need to know they have a rock of financial security somewhere in the background, lest the waters of fate sweep them away.

Yet, they care little about material possessions or accumulating great wealth. 7 people can earn large sums of money through their original ideas, but they're likely to make substantial contributions to charities or institutions. When they gravitate toward the arts, they make fine dancers, singers, poets, writers, actors, or actresses.

In their own quiet, laid-back way, people influenced by the Number 7 have ambitions they don't discuss with others, and these are always tinged with a philosophical outlook. They bless others with the grace of their sympathetic understanding of pain and suffering, which is why friends, relatives, and business associates unburden their troubles to the 7 person. There's a strong leaning toward privacy in the 7 vibration, and these people prefer to keep their own problems to themselves. They shrink from prying questions, and have a horror of "big brother" or anything they consider to be an invasion of their privacy.

Refined Manners, an artistic temperament, and a sensitive nature make up the 7 essence, but don't let these people fool you with their sometimes taciturn nature... you'd be surprised if you knew all the strange thoughts that swim through their minds when they're communing with themselves. If you can coax them to talk about what they're thinking, you'll not only be surprised, you'll be fascinated when you learn the secrets of their Neptunian world. But the 7 person must find you trustworthy before he or she shares these inner streams of contemplation... and you'll have to earn that trust by proving you're not judgmental or prejudiced. 7 people are rarely either. http://users4.jabry.com/chaldeannumerology/Numerology/

Thanks AG! A fine number, yes?

I find it reflects quite nicely and I look forward to a magnificent year filled with wonderful suprises, great mysteries and an abundance of blessings.

I'm a Rat in the year of the Horse, so I'm looking at that as well. It might bode well for my entrepreneurial ideas. I've been looking at freelance work at sites like Elance.com, and TaskRabbit. I'm also tempted to start an idea from idea scratch hoping that the idea finds sufficient demand.

The only saving grace with the beginning of this year was Domicile Neptune Trining the Node.

How often do you think Neptune will be seen cruising the Piscean Ocean?

Wonder if it has anything to do with the end of the Piscean Age?

Didn't check any numerology site but was thinking - about the same thing... not just a word but a number as in "Seven". Seemed like common sense - i guess, as in: 2+0+1+4 = 7

It's been 9 years since the last year from which resulted 7 - as in 2005. So, maybe this year will have a bit of that vibe - a bit of 2005: http://www.thepeoplehistory.com/2005.html

I'm a Firehorse in the year of The Horse, and I am so excited!!!! Anywho, Teasel, about the word thing.
You know in some of the art circles we are involved in that you are supposed to have a new word each year. So, I was thinking of mine, and thinking, and thinking...

I couldn't find one.
So I got some watercolor paints out, because they are so loose and freeing, and just began painting swirls and shapes on my paper.
I was a bit distracted watching tv at the same time, and then I noticed when I looked down, I had painted in cursive the word: REUNITED. Hopefully this is a good kind of reuniting! (Now I have visions of myself singing Peaches & Herb at karaoke. ugh.)
