Didn't watch tonight's (Sunday) episode yet."Crisis" has crossed boundaries for me a bit. "Too much senseless violence" and confusion-betrayals for me...  I may or may NOT stay with this series. When I look at the overall story, 'the parents" are the ones leaving "everyone" in danger. They won't cooperate-- think that the rules apply to everyone else EXCEPT themselves. "That's" what makes a dangerous society (in real life). Personally, I don't like what this show is modeling.... Like the actors (that's why I've stuck with this so long), but really hate how the story leaves me feeling overall. I find that I'm not into violence just-to-be-violent sort of thing. It's a turn-off... Used to like the more sanitized "old" A-Team, or Bruce Lee's, or early Saturday Gladiator movies... chops, body or car flips, spraying bullets, vats of boiling oil, but NO one "really" gets injured... No strewn body parts on the scenes (mostly). And characters live to come back for another show. Unfortunate lesson is that this society today NEEDS to "realize" that we are not 'virtual'-- that guns go off, and bullets come out that actually KILL people and ruin and change lives FOR EVER...   I enjoy 'Person of Interest', 'NCIS'... These shows do have gore, but I've 'adjusted' to it, maybe? (Still have to turn away from some scenes, or kinds of episodes.) I'll catch up on Crisis later... but I'm actually thinking of dropping this off my watchlist. IP: Logged |
