Yes, I was thinking you don't seem very comfortable having your photo taken. You look most comfortable/confident in the third photo. But in the last one, you have a look that seems to say "I'm comfortable with you, the one with whom I'm thinking". Anyone could imagine they are the one. This connects you to people. There's a lot more inner beauty that shows when you are comfortable. Outer beauty you have. I love the colors you are wearing and you are not afraid of accessories. Your eyes are wonderful, although if you want a more feminine look, and I suggest this to all young women, to see a highly reputable professional to have an eyebrow waxing, just once, in order to serve a a guide for your own future maintenance. Your skin is beautiful and your hair, your lips, no need for excessive makeup. You even have sweet laugh lines. It's just your inner beauty that needs to shine in your photos from your comfort with yourself. Technically, since I learned a lot about photography from years in the photographic society, the catch light is important in portraits and the focus. The eye that is closest to the camera must be sharpest in focus. This will allow the focus to soften behind you which will give an even more comfortable look. Also I suggesting the crop on the last photo because technically the pose makes you look as though you only have one leg. There's a great book for the lay photographer by Nick Kelsh, How To Photograph Your Life. In the back it gives an example how to pose for a full body shot for online dating sites, how to look comfortable. He has done several books, so I think that was the one. How To Photograph Your Baby, is great for new parents. His books cut to the chase and offer years of real life experience in several volumes for how to get the best out of a snapshot camera. Everything I studied my whole life about photography was summarized in his few books. They are indespensible as learning guides. They explain in detail how to understand the most important component to successful pictures, light.

Ah thank you. My Mum calls it the "goblin-pictures". lol She means that sometimes I have that expression in my eyes, that surprises most people, as I am usually so serious and calm and well balanced, but now and then the "inner goblin" gets activated. Well mothers.... IP: Logged |

Thank you, Pluto Survivor, are you a photographer? You stun me with the depth of your analysis. (though, I think my eyebrows will stay this way. Mostly at least. Maybe it makes me look less feminine, but I find they are typically me. Though when I am seeing my cosmetician again, they are going to get a little trimmed). IP: Logged |

Yes, one of my many hobbies is photography. I've done the basic college course, toiled with my dad's darkroom equipment, and won awards at local photo club in the past. It's always been the process for me, but recently the product is becoming worthy of sharing. Oh, the eyebrows... Not a criticism at all, it's just one of the first things I noticed visually. You are beautiful in your natural state.. No need to change that at all... Lucky you!!! IP: Logged |
