I don't want to start this and make it seem like i'm attacking anyone especially those who are mods here,at the same time i was just wondering if there can be some rules of conduct for all the mods on here.It's just an idea! Something like 1) If a mod is not doing his/her mod duties then if there are enough complaints about him/her we as people of this site can make a decision to vote him/her out and get someone new who wants to be a mod. 2) Have a time limit on mods like every 3 months change them up,people come and they go on here some people don't spend a ton of time on here or have time to sort through all the posts. 3)Check up on the mods meaning check to see if they can stay a mod...life gets busy at times and we all go through rough patches. Some might need to step down,i'll volunteer to check on some and find out how they're doing? If they don't want to be one anymore? There seems to be more rules of conduct for everyone on the site which is nice because it sets boundaries,yet for mods there should be a different set of rules considering they are the ones who are being the teachers who spend they're times on Saturday afternoons in detention. The Mods answer to me. I created the organizational culture of this site, and the Mods follow my guidelines. They do have rules to follow. If I'm not happy with the Mods, they will find out about it. I encourage them to be opinionated, to speak their minds, and to retain their own personalities. We have thousands of members and many, many, many unique new visitors each day (usually just here reading info from an internet search). Because a few people may not like a particular Mod does not mean that this Mod is doing a bad job. That's a handful of Knowflakes out of literally thousands. Enjoy the site, paticipate in the discussions, and avail yourself of the free services/readings, but let me handle the administration of it, which includes all Modships. Thank you.IP: Logged | |
