Well... stuff is literally on fire again.

But there's also a heat wave. It's 103 degrees outside here at work.

It's 95 degrees at home by the beach right now which is unheard of. Not looking forward to trying to sleep tonight - we don't have air conditioning.

blech.

I don't do heat. It literally makes me sick.

Uh! I prefer heat to cold, but I am happy it hasn't been too hot in here yet. It was raining beautifully yesterday. It will get super hot in here too, soon enough..

Definitely get air conditioning!

Sorry to hear that . I hope all gets worked out with the air conditioning and that the heat wave doesn't last very long there.

...ugh! Wishing you and your home stay safe, MoonWitch. Hope you'll be able to manage finding some sleep, good breathing air, and comfort during this time.... I know how miserable that can feel.

I hope it passes soon. I have a friend who has been posting about the heat in the Bay Area.

A couple of days ago, I almost asked who would be the first to hurt me if I complained about the heat (86+ and no air conditioning). I don't like extreme heat or cold, so was grateful when thunderstorms brought in cooler weather. I could have done without the tornado warnings, though.

We don't have air conditioning because we are literally one block from the beach. We almost never need it. In the middle of summer we just open the doors and windows and an ocean breeze comes through. The average temp in the summer is only 75 degrees so no one has A/C along the shore.

Today it'll be 95 at home and 105 inland where I work. We have A/C at work, of course

It's just the crazy Santa Ana winds blowing all the hot air off the desert. Desert people probably think we're being all wussy!

Saturday should be much better! 80 degrees at home. We're going to make it a lay on the sand by the water day

I shouldn't complain too much! I know a lot of people towards San Diego that have been evacuated from their homes because of the fires.
