Not sure if it qualifies as horror, but The Purge!

Sinister was good.

I'm too tired to think of anything right now. I'll probably be back.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Gotta say, MoonWitch that is an impressive list

I like watching horror movies too. I often watch the asian ones, but yeah lately I've been getting tired of watching white ghosts with long hair lol

I love horror movies as well. I totally agree with all of Moonwitch suggestions. Yes Randall, I would definitely say The Purge is considered a horror movie (at least, to me).
The Orphanage was great - (I love Guillermo del Toro's work)
Don't Be Afraid of the Dark
Pans Labrynth
Mama
Warm Bodies was great also - it really surprised me
Tucker and Dale vs Evil was an enjoyable movie - worth seeing
Aftershock (I'm on Moonwitch's Hostel sighting)
The Crazies
Odd Thomas (I liked this - surprisingly enough)
You're Next
Mirrors
Smiley
John Dies at the End
V/H/S
The Woman In Black
Maniac
I Spit On Your Grave
Grindhouse
Jeepers Creepers
The Colony
REC(s)/ Quarantine (s)
Contagion
They Live
Martyrs
The Rite
Eden Lake
The Frighteners
The Fly
What Lies Beneath
The Bay
Candyman
The ABCs of Death
High Tension
Gothika
The Ghost and the Darkness
The Wraith
Stay Alive
Black Rock
Cujo
Dead Snow
The People Under The Stairs
ATM
Amber Alert
Venom
Burning Bright
Train
Area 407
Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight
Silver Bullet
Stag Night
Road Kill
JDs Revenge

Death Bell 1 & 2 - very disturbing K-horror.
Same with Bloody Reunion
Or White about a cursed song. Really good representation of Kpop idol groups (who end up singing said cursed song).

White Panic - has probably the most unexpected and bizarre, sick twist I've ever seen. Really good with the psychological element, seeing everyone trying their best to escape.

- Dead Go Round. Some unexpected survivors especially.

Evil Dead Trap - again, twist. But I mostly love it for the main character, Miyuki, who is so likeable, especially for a horror movie.

For Survival of the Fittest type of movies/reality TV shows, that kind of thing:
- Slashers (inspired by Japanese gameshows)
- Series 7: The Contenders
- The Tournament
- Death Race 3000 (Sylvester Stallone as the villain!)
- Wrong Turn series. Especially 2.
- The Burning (points for spotting Constanza when he was a lot younger ^^)
- Elevator (people stuck in an elevator with no help... and one of them has a bomb)
- Devil (similar but with supernatural touch)
- 9 Dead. More of a mystery but hey, it has Melissa Joan Hart.
- Elimination
- Death Tube. Not very good, but it's horror.
- The Incite Mill. Tatsuya Fujiwara in a 'Ten Little Indians' plot.
- King's Game. Creepy touch on chain letters and quite sad.

And for kicks: The Starving Games. Hunger Games parody.

The Conjuring is Amazing! It is the best Horror movie I have seen in years. They are making a new movie about Annabelle the Doll, I cant wait for that one.

OMG on those Wrong Turn movies. One Halloween, a few years ago, I stopped at a gas station to fill up and the attendant was dressed up as one of those fools - man, if I was alone in the car, I would have kept it moving. They are seriously creepy.

A couple of years ago I encountered a kind of horror movie I'd never seen before. Hasn't anyone seen "The Human Centipede" ?

This movie is really disgusting !

I almost added that one to my list above but figured it may gross too many people out. It really entertained me --- and there is a sequel!

Thanks everyone. Great suggestions.

I'm now <slowly> working through the list.

I've just watched The Purge, Sinister and The Conjuring.

The Purge n Sinister really mess with my head. The Conjuring is scary in a different way. I looked up the Anabelle Doll story and it is so creepy I can't even. Yeah AG that movie is gonna be good.

The Orphanage is rather sad.

Lol The Starving Game is like one of the best parodies that I've seen lolol

Oh The Human Centipede. Shudder. I watched it a while back and I couldn't get to the end.

Babysitter Wanted. It has twists and turns that will catch you by complete surprise.

Seed. Warning: Very graphic violence.

If you think Human Centipede is disgusting, you should see Human Centipede 2.

And the latest Wrong Turn released on DVD only.

Watched a film called "Redd Inc" yesterday, about a wrongly accused man who kidnaps a group of people who would have gotten him acquitted, and forces them to do research on his case day in day out until they find the real killer.

Some good mystery, the characters have plenty of time to develop, the gore... oh man oh man, I actually had to look away and squirm a couple of times. Some genuinely scary moments. Twist.

Yeah, you should all totally check this one out!

A complete list would be ridiculously long, but some personal favorites in no particular order include:

The Legend of Hell House (1973)
The Haunting (1963)
Black Christmas (1974)
The Vanishing (1988)
Carnival of Souls (1962)
Eyes Without a Face (1960)
Suspiria (1976)

Sinister!

My top pick as one of the best horror movies in the last 10 years.

Just thinking about it now creeps me out lol...
