As of yet, there's not a strictly synastry / composite related forum - hence, as some have said, Relational Astrology, which surprises me. I feel its time has come.

I second, third, and infinity Ceri as a Moderator for the new forum, if she's willing to take the reins.That being said, how does one toss their hat into the ring, Randall? To whom would I send my CV, so to speak? For one, I know that Ceri and I could manage things fairly well, given the time zone differences: she's up and running while I'm sleeping, and vice versa. Hm. Heart Lines and Hard Lines. Totally kidding. 'Connexions' is good, frankly. After all, that's what they are. 'Relational Astrology' is very professional-sounding. 'The Astrology of Relating', a book title. Starships! Sorry. I'll be serious. As a logophile, I've just always been fascinated by the power of words, and their origins. '-ship', for example, being the 'state of being'. We use it everywhere to describe connexions: friendship, relationship, partnership, and so on. Hell, I recently coined a new one: soulship. Absolutely. I mean, there's NOTHING at present that analyses synastry or composites specifically, so they tend to be tossed hither and yon. Besides, I'd love to get into some real depth regarding the karmic connexion I've had over the past - wow, it'll be 20 years in 2016 ... anyhow, he's a serial killer. But, to his credit, he's hugely responsible for making me who I am. I was going in a TOTALLY different direction before we met, and ... he changed everything. That's not something you'd put in a 'love relationships' forum. And I can't be the only one who wants to study ALL kinds of relationships, connexions, composites, and synastry. IP: Logged |

This forum will need some clarity and structure too - like beginning a few basic explanatory threads that stay on topic. Or there is so much information dotted about the various meanderings, that it becomes seriously difficult to navigate.IP: Logged |

How do you receive a nomination? Where do you go? With whom do you leave the CV? It may be the crazy influences today, but I keep not getting that answer. Personally, I use a few basic methods to determine the core or crux of a connexion between two people. I'm of the opinion most have a soulful or karmic component to them - but - unless that's becoming a prevalent theme, it doesn't become refiled in my brain as a 'soul connexion' or 'karmic relationship'. Starting out, it could simply be a good idea to powwow on how we each go about our synastry and composite charts. What we look for. How we evaluate it.
