You're looking great! Your vibes look shiny and healthy, too.

Yeah I would probably be on your dad's side, thinking you could pull off some neon just fine.

I was just thinking about this Thread today!

I was wondering how you did it.

(I got this whole bunch of jeans, and they were too tight when I got them.

Ran low on clothes this morning and Voila!

They actually fit.

If there is one thing I absolutely despise with every fibre of my being, it is clothes that confine.)

thank you, FAith. You are too sweet.

But seriously, well my Dad took pictures of that dress (and me in it), I mean everyone deserves pictures of a real crappy outfit, right?

I might consider posting them for a while if he send them to me tomorrow or the day after that. lol

And I have been wanting to write you an email since yesterday I think. You brought up some interesting points, that i did not see before, but make so much sense to me. Well, I am sure the email will come. Tomoorow. or the day after it.

Hey, congrats about the fitting jeans. Great feeling isn`t it?

Well I despise confining clothes (or confining anything actually) myself; however since I had been wearing tents as clothes for the recent years, I have come to appreciate a bit tighter clothes, however, what I consider tight, to pretty much everyone else, seems to be half a number too big I think. Except for that strange orange-red glowing dress I mistakenly ordered.

Yeah, that's why I was thinking of you, it Was a great feeling!

I am terrible, I wear pants that I can take off without loosening a button.

I suppose I should try to please the public, but I'm so selfish, I only dress for comfort.

Terrible...

But Happy!

Oh, and I Hate synthetics.

I like my clothes to breathe.

Did you just cut down on any certain foods?

Or was it an exercise regimen?

I ask because it is so different for different people.

I have started to go to the Weight WAtchers meetings, well not really fond of these meetings, though they can be fun, if you substract the "cult-factor".
Well not really a cult, but first time I went there I was taken aback by it, I get it they want to advertise and sell their products to make money. A LOT OF IT.

Anyway, luck has it that the trainer of this particular group is very down to earth and not a blind follower of the program as well, so that is helpful for me. To be honest I profit from the weekly weighing (only the trainer sees my weight and notes it down) and I love the internet assistant, where I can see diagrams about my weightloss. a lot of things to play around with. lol

Well to answer your question, I mostly just changed my eating behaviour; I mean I still like some of the unhealthy food now and then - like chocoloate-, but less and more rarely, and that seems to do the trick.

I am allowed to eat anything, nothing is forbidden or taboo (that would not work with me at all), it is just about the amount of it.

I should exercise more, but I don`t. I am fitter though than I was before, which means that I walk more, and if I am in the mood, use my exercise bike (I should be more often in the mood though. lol for a Mars in Sag I am extremely lazy).

But what I noticed the weightloss most I have noticed is being in a happy cheerful mood. It seems everytime I feel very happy over several days, chunks of weight just fall off me. lol

Well my Dad sent the picture of that awful dress - I am NEVER going to wear it anymore.
And some pictures taken today in a normal T-shirt, just for documentation purposes.

Anyway, about the awful dress, even though it IS awful, I like the upper half of it. I am pondering now if I shall have it cut. You know get it to someone who can make a blouse out of it, instead of a dress. What do you think?

And yes the pink one is still a bit tight.

I think after 15-20 more kilos or so I am going to start thinking about stopping with the losing and instead working on maintaining it. This will be quite some challenge.

I actually like that dress...if the boots came up higher, maybe? And if it accentuated your waist better, since you keep getting thinner. *Flaunt it*

Agreed, it'd be nice to a have shirt in that style. I know nothing about tailoring, but I'm pretty sure I've seen shirts like that for sale lately...definitely in the past.

Faith,

that`s really nice of you.

well to be honest I thought it would look even more awful.
Of course I would never wear boots like this to the dress, I was incompletely dressed. lol

Anyway yes, about the waist. I just called a tailor and am going to see her tomorrow, so she can have a look at it and see if it can even be done.

I imagine having a blouse cut that reaches to mid thighs (at the longest) and wear it with a black belt or something like that. oh and slim black trousers.
AT least going to try how this would look like.

Of course the colour will still be very orange.

Or as my mom said: You ARE aware that you are going to be in the absolute centre of attention wearing this, right?

*Scratches head*

So, smaller portions and support?

You are much prettier than that dress.

The boots are okay.

I sure hope so

I just got it to the tailor, who will cut it to tunic-length. I was wearing black trousers when she was making her marks and it already looked much better; at least I do not have to throw it away.

And yes, smaller portions, making a decision what to eat and how much of it, and support, yes, but mostly from an email friend, who had been at atime even more overweight than me. She was weighing 180 kilos at her height, then got a surgery, which helped her lose some kilos, but was already gaining weight again. And when I made my choice, she was almost at the same weight as me then (maybe 5-10 kilos less or so, which was already a weightgain after the surgery) and she decided to join me. We have been comparing our numbers every week since then. She is doing it all on her own, without WW, but she is exercising a LOT by now, which led to her losing weight even more rapidly and more than me.

It`s actually almost scary, from her hightes point before the operation she has lost almost 90 kilos by now, and from when we started a bit over 50 I think. Anyway that is rather helpful, too, keeps me ambitious. lol

Additionally I have all the support I could wish for from my family and colleagues. So that helps, too.

But most of all it helps to be very clear about where I do NOT want to go anymore, and I am feeling much bettter nowadays, even though I still have some kilos to shed.

I like the dress Ceri. I would like heels with it.
Like sling backs, maybe.

Ami,
well I agree with you on the heels, I just can`t walk on these, especially not the high heels kind.

I agree about the dress, the only thing good about it is the color! You look stunning in RED, Ceri!!
We need something shorter and more flattering! But definitely, MUST be red!

It's your time to shine and turn heads.

DM,

I am slowly becoming the Queen of Wands after all. lol

And he likes me in Red.

(well Red is his favourite colour, just as it is mine; we can`t deny our fire-signness I suppose. ).

Hopefully the tailor got finished by tomorrow so I can see how it looks as a tunic; though, hmm, I thought it was rather tight, round my waist, but it does not look that tight on the picture. I will have to see how it looks on me tomorrow, and maybe really wear it with a belt. Well I will think of something.

After all I am going to be on the open air on saturday, so if this will not work, I have to think of something else.

But thank you for your nice words.
And I feel so shallow, sometimes, as if nothing really counted but clothes and how I look in them.
So insiginficant in a grand scheme of things.

Ceri, I don't think anyone could possibly think of you as shallow, you are a very profound person. I am glad to see you preoccupied with lighter and happier things though and it's no harm indulging in this - after all, it is your hard-won prize for all the weight you lost, for hanging in there day after day, month after month and not giving up! Buying clothes after weight loss is simply exhilarating and you deserve to enjoy every second of it.
How do you feel about a new haircut, maybe trying a new color or a different style (like straightening it for a few days or more definition for your curls)? I like to experiment with hair too, when I transform I need all parts of me to keep up with it and, besides, it's amusing and interesting. I'd be curious to see you without bangs, you have beautiful features, don't hide them!

So you're going to a concert on Saturday eh? Have LOTS of fun! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
