Hi all,
Not even entirely sure what I'm asking for but I suppose just some protection and positivity against danger.Last Tuesday I was assaulted by a neighbour. She's known to the police as a trouble maker but despite there being a video taken by one of the 2 eye witnesses to the attack, the police have yet to act! They took my statement and saw the video but they've not taken statements from the witnesses or arrested her! The morning after this she tried to intimidate me (told me I'd made a big mistake involving the police because she's got a very protective family) as I walked my 6yr old son to the car to take him to school. Thankfully my partner was at home, saw this and came out to defend us... and she's now made a counter claim against him for supposedly 'intimidating' her!! I'm angry, worried, fearful and above all horrified that she frightened my son bless his heart. The police still haven't taken our statements for what happened that morning and I'm just so concerned that they'll be lazy and drop the whole thing because she has 3 kids and is a single parent. She's not done anything since but it's only a matter of time. I suppose I'm just praying for protection for my family and myself, and that the police will do the right thing and charge her with assault and intimidating a witness. Sorry. Just needed to get it all out and vent.

oh seeker, I am so sorry to hear that.
What a mess and turmoil you have to endure!
I can`t believe the police`s reacton (or rather: inaction) either.But just try and stay strong. At least you have a good support system in your partner.  IP: Logged |

I don't know what the laws are in the UK but you should still be able to defend yourself and your family.
Is pepper spray legal? If you can, get some.
