More there. Interesting how standards change over the years, often back and forth like a pendulum.

Though it wouldn't surprise me if back then good curves represented some amount of wealth whereas someone skinny was more impoverished. A great aunt of mine would actually do yard work in makeup (constantly going in to reapply it) so she'd look pale and also not get a tan as having tanned skin meant you were poor (though surely no one thought she had her own servants to do the chores ). In this day of convenience and plenty that would no longer apply.

I don't think standards have changed at all. When I look at that woman in the picture, I see a woman with an attractive body and I think most men would agree with me, we generally like curves. If those curves come with a slim waist like the woman in the picture.
