On Firefox, I did not update the newest version. It asked me and I said No. I don't know why lol

How do you get the update if you said no.

Don't use Internet Explorer, it's terrible.

Stick with Firefox or Google Chrome.

Search for 'update adobe player' in Google and you should be able to find a update for it! On the Adobe website atleast.

OMG I put in a new one and I think it was the real one but I went on U tube and was able to watch for a while and then it crashed. Gonna call the computer store tomorrow and have the lady help me lol

That's something different, not YouTube.

My GUESS is that you've got too much dust in the graphics card causing the CPU to overheat (and thus shut itself off as a safety feature before a fire starts), and by trying to watch videos you're putting too much stress on it. Of course you SHOULD be able to play so I'd say you've got a hardware problem (if my guess is correct). If you have no experience with basic maintenance (and don't know anyone else who does) then you should have a pro deal with it, though that can take awhile and be expensive.

Also be aware that not all computer technicians are trustworthy, in fact it's distressingly common how one will try to rip you off. In addition to news exposes where they were busted doing so (don't know how many were honest, but they sure found plenty of dishonest ones to showcase) I've known more than one who got burned, like one who had a component (video card, IIRC) secretly replaced with one that had less memory/video RAM (so the better one could be either used or sold by the thief)...normally it wouldn't have been caught but the guy was doing sophisticated media ops on his computer and it was no longer capable of doing so...all the techs denied any such thing happened and as he'd had it back for over a month before he discovered it there was nothing he could do but get a new computer capable of doing what he needed. That's not even counting the incredible overcharging (which is legal for them to set any price they want though other comp techs would tell 'em off for quoting that price estimate to them, but then they do like to test your knowledge before deciding how badly to burn you).

If your computer is shutting down from over heating it should give you a warning first, and then recommend an immediate shutdown thereafter.

You can download fairly simple temperature monitoring programs that will tell you if this is indeed the problem.

Probably not necessary for your current computer issue but the software IS available if one needs it.

Worth noting too, it could be the Cooling fans with the issue not the Graphics or CPU, and those programs can also monitor the fan speeds.

This is when it really pays to have trustworthy friends who can recommend someone, preferably someone who knows computers (in which case have them go in with you, just because your friend was dealt with honestly for knowing computers doesn't mean you'll get the same fair treatment if the tech decides he can rip you off). 'Course if you do know such a person, have him or her check your video card along with the fan and such and run some canned air through it first...it's easy and just a few minutes if you know what you're doing and shouldn't be that expensive (a can of air cost about $10-20) and might stop your computer from shutting down. Obviously, any tools with magnetic components should be kept away from your computer.

I updated the Adobe flash

Then I watched about 40 minutes of a video but then I switched to a new one and the screen went green and whacky so I shut down the computer before it shut itself down.

I did not update Firefox a while back when it sent out it's update message and so every site I go on with a flash asks me to allow the old Firefox. It may be this lol
