Surely many have experienced this.. Struggling to figure out what your real purpose is on this planet.

Some instictively know what their purpose is and labor with Love in that respective field.
Or have a "calling" later on after they have dedicated many years to a ceratin career.

This is my dilemma.. It feels as though I'm always struggling with two distinct paths. I'm passionate about both. The problem is blending the two without feeling torn or having to choose only one. Both consume a lot of time. The one was treated more as a hobby which I did during my free time but now I feel all confused inside! Maybe everything I'm posting now doesn't make sense either.

It just feels as though I should be doing something MORE but not sure what. *sigh*

My dad, also a Sag (Cancer moon) used to tell us, "Don't wish your life away."
In other words, just enjoy the moment that you're in, that you're here, that you have a moment in time to enjoy in the first place.

I can tell you first hand from several experiences that you may aim for one thing, and land somewhere completely different. Perhaps better than where you aimed. Even if it doesn't seem like it, take something from it.

I've found purpose in just enjoying life. That's my purpose. I think anyone can find purpose in that.

Thanks, DF.

It's trying to figure it out that's frustrating.

Maybe my post was more of a vent.
Will have to patient and see where it leads.

Totally. You can just be open to many things along the way that may all come together one day into your passion but at the beginning, you could not just "get" there because you did not know where "there" was.

I've struggled with this too, Charm..
What I'm starting to realize is that maybe we're not all destined for doing some big important thing. Maybe some people play supportive roles to others and in a way that's just as important. Just a thought....

I have a similar problem, more or less, and I have a gemini moon too, conjuncted with mars. I have struggled to understand my purpose, or calling, here, all along my short life. I feel I should have accomplished something on the way already, recognition, you know, a deep sense of stable meaning, etc, but perhaps I do it without even realising it. We are evolving all the time in many different levels, and learn many lessons, each different from the other. So even though my ambition is not yet satisfied, I may live a very meaningful life, only halfway realising it!

Charm, I can only share the crossroad I met with this.

After years of the same struggle, I finally had to face what was a dream and what was a talent and how to make both work.

I felt my purpose was to be a Vet. Tech.
I love four leggeds and wanted to heal them. Yet, I couldn`t handle the blood and guts of the work. A badly injured animal brings me to my knees .
I realized, by fostering, I could help more in need by providing a home , love, socialization and is just as important and full filling.

Not what I dreamed of but the turn out has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

Landscaping / gardening became another purpose , talent and fullfillment in my life.

Together, both fill my life with purpose and joy.

So, in essence, find what your talent is and apply it to the purpose you feel destined to have.

You may be destined to have more than one and they will work in harmony.

I have been thinking about this, Charm.

What would you love to do if money or anything were not an issue.

What makes you sooo happy? What brings joy to you?

Quite, Gyps. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a supportive role. It can be just a rewarding to the soul.

That's beautiful, Juni. We have the love and wanting to help our furry family in common. Like you, I can't stand the blood and guts either which is why I do volunteering at animal shelters (free time) and even fostering some until they can be placed in loving homes.

Maybe oneday I too can figure or combine these passions as you have.

Thank you for sharing that with us. It's quite inspiring!

Mostly offering myself to aid and help those less fortunate although I have to the best of my ability. Someone suggested that using my current career to raise awareness could work too.. A project in progress atm.

Yes, Charm, do you have ways that seem the most fitting to you. Do you like hands on or behind the scenes.

On here, or just to yourself, define what pure bliss looks like in terms of career and it can happen!

Each person was made for a purpose and their LOVE for something is the path to that purpose imo

I believe these crossroads are to strenghten our faith, spirit, and patience so we grow in wisdom and purpose.

^ Good one, Juni! That's part of my personal belief too-- that we never be afraid to question, or be too concerned when we feel a crisis of faith. It's part of 'the process' of Discovery.

I like the things Ayelet said (and DF)... that we actually already do what-it-is we are called to do-- all without realizing it.

Juni, I think your words carry a key for my thoughts around this today-- sometimes 'what you ended up doing' is 'not what you dreamed of...' because society's needs and interests evolve and change.

This morning I opened an astrology book at a random page. (Alan Oken Complete Astrology, p.277-278). Mr. Oken was discussing the planetary energies of Uranus. His closing paragraph spoke about Uranus (ruler of Aquarius) being closely associated with the affairs of the Eleventh House: "... relates to all occupations dealing with computers, broadcasting, rocket technology, social welfare, aviation, and many professions which have yet to be developed within the aforementioned areas." Uranus has to do with the relationship between personal consciousness and the collective consciousness.

Some people know their callings early in life, and walk straight into it. Other people are on a 'delay' system. The Universe 'has a reason' for that, which I see in Mr. Oken's writings today.

Sometimes, some people haven't yet found their places because Other-people are part of the Calling, too. And we have to wait for everyone to get on board. All Timing is to be Right.

*Charm-- Your tapping foot, hilarious!! I've felt like a full-out tap-dancing fool for months & years now! o gosh! Hey! How'd that tune go again? *

Everyone (who is to be involved) has yet to be Collected and sorted into their special places, in order for 'the symphony' to begin. The audience has to be ready, and hushed. The players have to have their instruments up and ready. The leader/Conductor has to arrive to the podium with baton in hand, then give the down-beat.

Another picture I like to muse is sticking your fingers up through the knit of a loosely crocheted wooly blanket... You can see the 'individual' fingers wiggling, giving an illusion that they are separated from the hand. But those fingers all belong to a hand that lies beneath that blanket (the horizontal plane between what's seen and Unseen).

Individually (with the fingers), I know that in my own life, it seems that any thing that I have learned or done 'as a job,' (paid or volunteered labor), had something to do with preparing me for a destiny that's yet to fully manifest.

Collectively, we are each 'doing our job' and are part of a larger landscape. We are being prepared 'as a people' for the thing that comes Next. Some of us don't know what "that" is going to be until we see it.

On one level, I am only now beginning to scratch that surface consciously. I think that consciously, maybe we find out at one point. But overall, I believe we ARE all, at some capacity or level, doing 'right now' what we Do. ..... Next thing?, like some are saying, is finding 'the way' to keep body and soul together-- because we have to be alive, to use our Purpose on this Earth!

Ami Anne, that's why the world needs to show more appreciation to its artists. ART is just as important as Science. Actually, I've been saying this for a long time now: when this debate is finished and analyzed, I think we'll realize at MUCH deeper levels, that the two are just different expressions of the same thing. Can't do one without the other.

Some count pulses of Others' beats...

People are gathering into their places. Jobs have not yet been 'created' for what our hidden talents are. When the innovations come, we'll find out we already are wired to do that.

Oh!, and another thing? ... Sometimes you can have clues about what or who you are by 'the friends' you find walking beside you, while discussing on the way.

Didn't our Hearts burn within us.... (scripture) As we discuss these things, it opens the Mind, and not just the mind.
